The hornets broadcast team is all star.

You got Ashley providing the eye candy.

And the two commentators are full of entertainment.

They had a talk about Patty C. Mentioned he has a 96mph fastball.

One guy was like "but does he still have it?"

The other guy was like..."he can throw a ball through a car wash without getting it wet". :lol: :lol: :lol:

Then they stayed on Pat talking about the minor league team or whatever he was playing for Aberdeen something .. He either hit a 3 or had a nice drive to the hoop.... They be like... "ya he picked the right sport"

Later Melo drive to the hoop the ball hits all over the rim... "that was like a butterfly with tired feet, just jumped right in"

Then they went nuts over aj green in garbage time. They were hyping up AJ and loving his 3 ball. Joking about him being Larry bird full comedy hour.

Excuse me, sir, but Dell Curry is more than just "one guy."

Giannis seemed much more focused on finding his teammates. There were still moments where he was calling for the ball when he should have been screening for Dame, but it is improving.

I still think Griff is a moron, but he has made the obvious corrections to his initial game plan. Dame is basically an offensive coordinator out there. Let him initiate 8 times out of 10.

Usage in this game.

Dame = 30%
Giannis = 27%
Khris = 25.5%
Bobby = 22.1%
Beasley = 17.9%
Brook = 11.8%
Payne = 6.3%

and on his 3 minutes..

AJ Green = 43% with 100% TS and netrtg of + 152.4

That was near perfect.

I can't believe people would complain about watching games where players are trying their hardest. That's wild

Given the start and the fact that this had the opportunity to be a breakout win for Charlotte with several players returning to the lineup, the fact that we basically dominated them the last three quarters makes this a great win in my book. Just how I’ve been hoping we could play against the lower rung teams the last couple games. Also in a higher stakes setting than your average early regular season game.

Glad I didn’t slander Beasley a ton earlier in the season, he is a capable role player when in an offensive groove like he’s been. Just have to be careful who you play him with and to not play him too long.

**** dumb ass tournament.

The reason is because they care about these previously meaningless regular season games. That's a huge improvement for the league. In this thread, we have people discussing what the Bucks need to do to advance in the tournament. In previous seasons at this time of the year, people were counting down the days until April.

Sorry, you're never going to convince me this is a good idea. Like I said, all it will take is one garbage time injury and this whole thing is a disaster.

Meh, even in a normal regular season, garbage-time injuries can or do happen.
"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS

The tournament is one of the best things the NBA has done in a long time for this very reason. For at least two days a week, teams are treating the games like they actually matter and respecting fans as consumers.

Added incentive for the vets already with money should include being able to flex a late season game from away to home.

I'd also like to see quarters won as a tiebreaker over point differential. It would likely lead to more consistent effort even in a blowout.

I don’t even know how to find these stats, but feels like Dairy Bird has been pretty bad in real rotational minutes. Lights up scrubs though

The leading on/off player since then with a +16.8 net rating?

Malik Beasley :reporter:

Beas is significantly more playable when they have him in the corner on offense and they don’t have everyone being so aggressive on D so people can help cover and Brook can be at the rim when Beas gets beat off the dribble.

If he’s shooting like he has the last couple games, then it’s a Forbes situation where you play him because his offense is more than making up for his defense, but if he’s cold shooting, you gotta sit him because his defense is worst on the team (right there with Pat) and he brings nothing except shooting as he’s generally a bad passer with no vision who can’t attack close outs and is not good in transition either.imo

All that said, he’s a hell of a shooter when he gets on a heater. And he should get tons of wide open looks off GA and Dame.

Please don't. I hate Ajax.

It would be nice if you'd do this for AJJ though.

i'm not sure what you mean, but if you're implying AJJ is a better nickname than AJAX, say AJJ out loud once. Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. I feel like we are all going to settle on Andre at some point. We'll see.

Dre.

As in, “the league thought the Bucks would miss Jrue’s D come playoff time, but y’all forgot about Dre.”

That franchise doesn’t deserve that commentary team. They deserve Novak doing games solo.

His career 3p% average for us coming completely cold off the bench is 42%. That is simply insane. He is an elite shooter on a Giannis and Dame team. That makes him 5 times more valuable that he is already. Watch how Beasley feasts so far for us.

If he was playing for the Celtics he would have been another of those random white guys they keep finding, like Prichard and Hauser, who are never seem to miss when they play and they effortlessly spread the floor for Tatum and Brown.
