Yeah, the atrium is like a smaller version of what they did at Lambeau. Team store, offices I think, can host events, etc. the famous Jordan statue is actually inside it now, was built on east side.

The Fanduel area is cool. 2 levels of cushioned chairs, high top and long bar, tons of TVs, etc. it was busy but would be a good option at the Fiserv or Deer District once/if sports betting is legal.

https://www.unitedcenter.com/atrium/

Sports betting is legal in WI. But only through the tribes. And all betting has to be done on casino property. Oneida in Green Bay has an app you can use on property, even in the parking lot. Poto has no app. Hopefully they get one. You now have to go to a betting window or use one of the kiosks in the casino. Their big sportsbook is still under construction, not suppose to open until next year sometime.

I would think the Bucks and Brewers would be all over having an onsite sportsbook if it was possible.

Ah yes, that was what I met…legal on all grounds not just tribal. I have not been to the Oneida one yet but have heard its not too bad. I live like 5-10 miles from the grounds so the app doesnt work for me. I was hopeful it would reach but must have to truly be nearby.

I haven't been to Oneida, I believe they also own some convenience stores around the GB area and you can drive to any of them and use the app from your car.

The space Poto is putting their book is pretty large, it was for concerts, I'm curious what it will look like when done.

"The IRS has announced a delay on implementation of the law requiring payment processing companies like Paypal report payments of $600+. The bureau will implement the rule with a three-prong approach:

Year 2023: For the current tax year, the IRS will delay making any changes. Companies can use the old formula and only send out a form 1099-K to someone who received $20,000 in payments AND had more than 200 transactions.
Year 2024: The IRS will begin a phase-in of the new law and require payment processors to send a 1099-K tax form at a lower $5,000 threshold.
Year 2025 (or sometime later): The law will be enforced at the $600 threshold."

Takes away an annoyance of having to prove you didn't make a profit on ticket sales. (I don't try very hard and usually lose money). TM was going have to send the gross revenue of what you received from sales then you would have to deduct known cost (Selling fees, cost per game).

Thanks for sharing. Very good info and glad I won’t have to wait until 2025 probably to worry about it. Outside chance of 2024 I guess since do use Venmo, Paypal, etc for alot of things…

Anyways, small nice little appreciative perk that probably doesnt cost them much but makes the STH feel connected. They probably make money since you are there an hour earlier and already greased the wheels for buying drinks.

GAD pointed out they botched the giveaway "a single jon Mcglockin/jon Henson signed photo".

I thought it was a good event overall as a small token of appreciation. Ability to get in early to watch warm-ups, have a free drink, and chill watching football. They honestly should have more of these as I bet they ended up making money off additional alcohol sales from being there 2 hours early. Could have had a little better execution and more random freebees from their goodwill pile, but it does seem like they are trying harder this year....more events, announcing them early, etc

Man that is a blast from the past photo, haha! I for some reason received a Johnny Mac/Khris Middleton signed MECCA floor print years back. Assume it was probably same thing that they found in the archives.

I do like the idea of early entry with a comp brewski. Once I get 1, usually will get another 1 or 4 depending if driving, so to your point ends up being a money maker.

It's interesting to hear about the STH perks now vs. when I had them back in the Kohl/BC days. Average to crappy teams and less STH, they had to work harder to keep you. I may have posted all this previously, who knows.

I could get early entry to any game by calling my account rep. He'd let us in an hour before the building opened. We could sit courtside and watch players warm up. Most of the time at least one player would stop over and talk to my kid, both Bucks and opposing teams. That wasn't an advertised perk, just something my rep did for some of his people. I didn't take advantage of it so maybe 5-6 games a season I'd call him.

They had a preseason party right after camp opened. Suite holders and regular STH with enough seniority would go to a cocktail party in the BC lobby and hang out with players and coaches for an hour. Then the BC would open up to the rest of the STH. All players would be available for autographs. They had stations set up around the perimeter of the BC floor and you'd get in line for whoever you wanted. There was enough time to get one, maybe 2 autographs. You could also take pics with the player. They had some free apps, and I think soft drinks.

Each December was the holiday party. Usually at the arena, once or twice it was at the Milwaukee Theater. Pretty decent buffet, tables for 8. Tablecloths, etc... very nice. Paschke and McGlocklin would host. They had drawings for a ton of Bucks stuff, everything from mugs to a couple of autographed jerseys. Kohl would make his way around to as many tables as he could. He was always very nice. They'd repeat this event in April for an end of season party.

Sometime over the summer you'd get mailed a goody box of several things left over from giveaways of the past season.

I can't complain about the treatment back then. It was a tough sell and they worked hard. I've had many dealings with the marketing staff since then (former STH are always high on their list) and the quality of reps has drastically gone down. We'll see what happens post Giannis when they have to work to sell tickets.

i think i missed something because i have these rewards in my app that i never claimed or "purchased" with member points. but each one has a "purchase date" on it. i usually just buy three 25 dollar vending credits and call it a day but i'm not sure if that was an option this year. i did get the standard 50 dollar vending credit that they now include. i have no idea what's going on though, is this what it is to get old?

Yeah, they completely changed it this year. They did away with giving you points to purchase the benefit/s you want. You still get points based on how much you spend and years as a season holder. I believe you get 2500 bonus points every 5 years plus 1 point for every dollar spent on your season plan. Whatever points you have falls into like 5 different tiers. I assume most upper level, especially if only 2 seats, will fall into that 2nd to last tier. It is more event driven I feel, which is great, especially if I can actually get down to attend some. $50 Fiserv credit was my tier. Pro Shop discount started in the next tier up. I did end up getting League Pass although it was listed as being offered to my tier, so that was cool.

THe tiers should be listed in the app under Tickets -- Member Benefits. Otherwise its on the portal you can access on the desktop.

Oh god, yeah, its not even close. I got WAY more as a half season holder than I do as a full season now. Tickets were dirt cheap as well BUT a much tougher sell as well.

I started as a half season holder in college for the 2 Terry Porter seasons. I remember getting the giveaways mailed to me after the season, media guide, the preseason meet the team event with beer as you mentioned. I had the cheapest possible plan too. Now you have to buy the giveaways for $150. I got them last year as like one of my one perks as it was such a high point value.

I rejoined in 2009-2010 season, half season, and once again very inexpensive tickets with tons of perks. I remember getting hundreds of dollars worth of concession money at the BC and I could "bank" credits. So if I missed multiple games, I could bank the paid credit to use for like extra tickets or upgrades. We got upgrade vouchers where I would show up before the game and they would move you to like 3-6 rows from the court during week night games. Potowatomi Club passes at the BC where it was all-inclusive for 1-2 games/year was awesome as well. I definitely miss all of that. And at that time (early 2010s) COstco would sell $50 BC gift cards for $25 so I would stock up on those. Rarely dropped a dime in the arena for a couple years. Pro Shop was a standard 15% off and hell the first year Midwest Airlines was a sponsor and got a Buy 1, Get 1 free flight which we used to go to New Orleans, lol. Put our names on the center court line for 1 game, all season holders. Had alot of good reps too. It started to change around the time Kidd joined/Kohl sold. Rumor was the NBA kind of stepped in and said they had to reign it in a bit. But yeah, those were the days as far as getting bang for your buck --- although the product on the floor was pretty rough (Larry Drew year) or just felt stuck on the treadmill for the others. I wouldn't trade the winning for it all, but it does feel much more corporate and like a number than it did during the Kohl years.

So if the Bucks win tonight, we are guaranteed a home game next Monday or Tuesday for in-season tourney vs the wild card team from the East as we would be #1 seed of 4 since win would equal point differential tiebreaker with Pacers.

If lose, there alot of scenarios in play but believe we would have a home game IF Knicks win AND Bucks hold point diff advantage over Heat, Knicks, and whoever wins Group C. In that scenario we would be #2 seed. If that does not happen, most likely the wild card team as long as don’t get blown out tonight and no home game next week.

Am I off on this?

There are 5 tiers: MVP (75,000+), All-Star (30,001-75,000), Starter (14,001-30,000), 6th Man (2,501-14,000), Bench Mob (1,000-2,500). You earn 1 point for every dollar you spend on season tickets plus you get 2,500 upon every 5 year milestone.

Every tier gets a Q&A with Basketball Operations Staff (not sure if that occurred yet and assume its virtual), Holiday Photo Op, and Movie Night for 4. Both of the latter 2 were on 11/17. The movie was Rise.

Sixth Man and above get: Meet & Greet with an Alumni, Early Entry for Select Games, Annual Gift (Bucks Yeti Rambler), Fiserv Forum Credit ($50 to $200 pending tier), Season Tipoff Party (was 10/22), and Event with Players & Coaching Staff (hasn’t occurred yet).

Starter tier and above also get: Pro Shop discount (10 or 15% pending tier), Exclusive Event with a Player Appearance, League Pass subscription. I did get LP with 6th man though.

All-Star tier and above also get: One Day Fantasy Camp and Bulls bus road Trip for 2.

MVP also get: 2024 Summer League Trip to Vegas (flight, hotel, game tickets for 1 game for 2 people), and a dinner with the Basketball Operations staff.

This is in addition to the standard ticket exchange, playoff priority, VIP online store, etc.

They have also done a few items like a pre game happy hour last Sunday (free beer/early entry), 2 comp scrimmage tickets, and some small gifts for events (Bucks candles, Rise posters, kids Bango shirts, for the holiday/movie night).

I'm seeing some low prices for the Tuesday Knicks game. Bucks were running a 2-1 deal during the game last night. Good deals to be had

Kind of surprised. Teams have showed they at least care a little bit and you are basically guaranteed to not have Giannis be Load Managed after you drop money on bucks tickets. Getting to watch two Top75 players I thought would've raised the floor a bit on prices.

Yeah there are super cheap tickets out there. I ended up not being able to go and finally sold this AM for a 1/3 of my paid face value. Lower levels were on TM for under $20 pre fees. I did think there be a little more interest. Maybe the Knicks being the opponent hurt too.

I assume there is a chance renewals come out in the next week. Last year I got the email on 1/6. Everyone planning to renew that has seats? Price pending? Mine dropped 10% for this season so curious if they start to increase again. I feel like mine are priced pretty fair overall. The Lillard trade certainly helped move more games though too. I feel its simmered down again. The perks aren’t too bad. I’m still waiting on Players Event and Meet Alumni. I’m hopeful it falls on dates I can attend. I would say its likely I renew UNLESS the price goes up. Then it depends on how much of an increase.

I am expecting a increase for sure since Milwaukee now has increased county tax since the new year. We will see what they try and charge my lower level seats that I got for a pretty good deal.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
