I don't think it's that bad.

Obviously Chet and Wemby are the top 2.

Thompson, while he can't shoot at all, is averaging close to a double-double with 1.5 blocks and a steal per game.

Jaquez is averaging basically the same stats Miller is, but more efficiently.

Lively is good, is averaging just 8/8 with 1.5 blocks, so I can see him being 5th.

Hawkins doesn't have much of a case. Averaging worse stats and shooting below 40%.

So I think Brandon is 5th or 6th.

Behind only chet and wemby Miller is the 3rd best rookie. I was big time wrong on Scoot and I'm happy I was. Miller is going to atleast be brandon Ingram.

All I know is that Brandon Miller is a terrific all around basketball player with a super bright future. As a Hornet fan he's a major silver lining and I am psyched the Hornets have added a player of his quality.

Well for 1 Chet shouldn't even be considered a rookie. History has shown if a guy misses his rookie year as a top pick they almost always win ROY the next year. Simmons, Griffin, Embiid and now Chet. We saw last year Chet practicing for like 6 months and warming up with team before games with team.

Other than that. Miller is the 2nd leading scorer from draft behind Wemby, if you look at the top 10 scorers in ppg he is 2nd in EFG%.

That along with him being the 2nd pick should be keep him top 4, but its boring so people click bait for views and hype up Jacquez and Hawkins.

Also hard for me to make the case that Miller wouldn't be playing more than Ausar for Pistons if they both were in Det.

Miami would have loved Miller, he would be great in their system.

Man can you imagine how ugly it would have been if we took Scoot Henderson?

Miller has already proven he can play with or without LaMelo. He can literally fit in any system.

Charlotte finally picked the right guy.

Honestly I'm pretty blown away how bad he's been. I had started leaning slightly towards Scoot before the draft and expected him to put up big box score numbers (on poor efficiency), but he's just been bad across the board.

Tons of fouls, horrible shooting, not getting to the line, no stand out ASB, etc.

I know PGs develop on different curves than wings but sheesh.

I think we're also starting to expose the narrative that the G League is better (at preparing guys) than the NCAA.

I absolutely LOVE Miller. He is showing us amazing ability across all levels, as a rookie. What I really appreciate is how he plays the game with such a high IQ and attitude. Notice after the big 3 pointer his face is all business.

Wemby will win ROY…whooptie do. We have a future superstar right here. If Melo can get past his weak ankles, what a pairing these two will be.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Yeah his basketball IQ is the most surprising thing so far. He doesn't make many rookie mistakes.

The thing I like the most about Miller is that he has what it takes between the ears. He has the right mentality, attitude, and awareness. That's something you can't teach. Some guys end up getting there as they become older and more mature, but for a lot of them it just never comes. Brandon already has it as a rookie, that's a massive green flag for his future in the league.

He has it.

The only weakness I'm seeing in his game so far is his ability to create off the dribble. He shows glimpses but he's not consistent at it yet. I have no doubt he will get better as he gets more experience in the league.

Excited about our future for sure.

I was 100% team Scoot, but I love being wrong and can admit when I am.

The big issue I am seeing with Scoot is his shooting is as bad as advertised and his athleticism isn't at the level of a prime Wall or Westbrook.

Even still, today's game is rapidly moving away from 6'2 guys that can jump out the gym but can't shoot. Soon teams are just gonna be loaded with 6'7 - 7'0 hybrid players that can stretch the floor which is why despite all the misfortune we have, I still feel very luck to have a core of Miller, Ball, and Mark.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

Everytime I look up this kid has 16/18 points.

He's doing this without plays being called for him. If we develop him right he should have no problem being a Paul George kind of player. He is way more advanced than PG was as a rookie.

Glad Miller looks to have a birght future with us. Kid clearly has the potential to be a very efficient scorer in the league, and despite obvious growing pains shows the desire to be a good defender. He's deserved the no.3 spot on the rookie ladder for a while now and I'm glad to see him finally get it.
