Fat **** might be nervous because of all the backslash against his political actions at home in the recent days. Stupid prick.

Don't want to backseat moderate, but is this really necessary here? We know you started to hate him since he skipped the WC. I don't think many of us care who he supports and who he's not, we just wanna watch some basketball, man. At least here in the MVP thread. You can always open a separate off-topic thread.

We've got elections in Serbia coming in less than a week. Our president, an idiot with a mafia-like party that runs the whole country published a list of famous athletes, scientists, actors, doctors, writers etc who support him. This moron is on the list (unlike the fine gentleman Bogdan Bogdanovic, for example) and the uproar from the people who liked him is huge.

Which one do you think is worse for a basketball player?

I know what you're trying to say, but if you can barely see with a mask on, and have a concussion (Embiid did when he played Miami) I'd say that's just as bad or worse.

Which do you think is more necessary as a human being? Your wrist being hurt, or your face on fire from a broken orbital bone?

So now one of your ridiculous defences of Embiid is that he played through a concussion?

Good lord, do you even read what you post?

That is a fact. It's not ridiculous. He was one day removed from a concussion when he played. If you don't think he has any remaining symptoms you're wrong.

Jerami Grant has been out more than a week with a concussion right now. He still hasn't played yet.

Some of my fellow Serbs are angry that Jokic supports the current President of Serbia. It blows my mind because everyone should be allowed to support whichever politician they want. My sister, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law all got upset when, after needlessly pestering me for my political opinions, I publicly announced I supported and stood with Trump during this year's Thanksgiving and cracked jokes about Biden. Why does it matter who anyone else supports? Everyone should vote based on their morals and principals.

FYI I actually do support Vucic (as does almost 50% of the country...) - I feel empathy for fellow Serbs who don't support him, but I certainly won't allow it to affect my opinion of Jokic.

He was cleared then played the next day. I didn't mean he played the day after he had a concussion. He was still experiencing the after effects of it.

So he didn’t play through a concussion as I said.

Thanks for clearing that up.

If Embiid was cleared that means he’s right to go.

Man the excuses for this dude

Do you think the doctors or team were so careless? He was cleared to PLAY, not cleared to move out of hospital. When you are cleared to play but refuse to, that's drama queen

The NBA takes concussion very serious. Don’t they have to go through multiple steps and doctors to touch the court again.

He was told he could play earlier than he could. That's clear by how you played. You don't play like you did against the Raptors and then play like you did against the Heat unless something was physically wrong with you.

He really is, but this is where his antics, mostly begging for an MVP, come to bite him. In normal circumstances, the season Embiid is having would get him praised, commended, applauded and heralded as the MVP. However, after last year, the best play of his life is surrounded by crickets and hardly anyone is interested.

Funny how that goes.

Before the season started:
- the Mavs are a play-in team at best
- fat Luka, yada yada

How things are going right now:
- Mavs 3rd in the west despite key role players and Kyrie missing games, 4 game winning streak
- Luka is having a 8 game streak of 30+ games, longest in the NBA this season
- 32/8/9 on career high efficiency
- Showing us the meaning of Luka Magic on a daily basis.

He should get back into the conversation with Jokic, Embiid and Shai, that's for sure.

You said Luka currently has the longest streak of 30 point games at 8 games? That isn’t true because Embiid is also on an 8 game streak of 30 or more points.

Surrounded by crickets?? He is 1st on the MVP Ladder and is probably the front runner for MVP this season. Thats hardly crickets. He’s certainly the favorite for east player of the month putting up GOAT level numbers this month. If he continues his current play for the rest of the season which he should, with his consistency he should definitely win MVP. Giannis and Jokic just haven’t been as consistent as Embiid this season and he’s won 80% of the games he’s played so far this season.
