This is going to be a joke and a gift to Draymond, book it. I knew it the second I saw there wasn't a specific number on it. We're not looking at a 25-game suspension here or anything of the sort. Draymond is going to "enter counseling" and be back in 10 games or less.

Should have been indefinitely with a minimum of 20 games. If he comes back before 20 games Adam Silver is a joke of a commissioner.

He will do breathing exercise somewhere and return to his antics, after serving a 10 gameish suspension

I don't mind the 'indefinite' part, but think they could have combined a games penalty and return requirements.

As in 'Draymond Green has been suspended a minimum of 15 games, and needs to successfully complete an anger management course, and issue a public apology.'

I would have also added a suspended sentence which would kick in if he has future suspensions relating to violence.

It'll look way worse if he is suspended any longer than Ja Morant or Miles Bridges.

His continued behavior is far worse than anything Ja has ever done. He's a repeat offender (10th time..?). League shouldn't go soft on him because they went soft on bridges.

But 20 feels kinda harsh when Miles Bridges got 30 games for literally beating his wife to a pulp in front of his child. Bridges really should have gotten a lifetime ban, man.

Green is easily the dirtiest player in the league, and this year proves that hands down. Even before you look at the stuff that has gotten him tossed from games, he loves to get in there and really abuse players at times that is iffy but is not quite a flagrant.

A compilation of every dirty play he ever did would be mind boggling long. The notion that he is not a repeat offender is ridiculous, if some jackass goes to jail a few times for assault you can bet your ass the judge will have harsher sentences in court as he appears.

We are only 22ish games into the season and Green already has two altercations this year that led to a suspension.

Is 10 games supposed to be harsh punishment for his violent actions?? I agree with a previous poster - if the league doesn't address this in a proper matter, the players themselve should take care of him. And then we will have another malice at the palace incident and everyone will be acting surprised. Someone should have leveled Dray a long time ago.

If I owned a team I would have signed thugs like Danny Fortson on 10 day contracts a long time ago, with the understanding you'd pay the fines for them to brutalise Draymond until he was a whimpering bitch.

First missed shot of the game, elbow to the face on the rebound, then knock him to the floor and just start wailing on him until you get dragged off. Next game someone pulls his shorts down and kicks him in the balls. After the game when Draymond talks back have the Fortson-esque posse waiting for him after the game ready to beat the **** out of him. Snake in his locker. Car accidentally got smashed up. Etc. The league is going to step in before long, but by that time the league and Dray are going to learn his antics can't continue.

I'm **** crying!

A face to face fight when it’s warranted .
Not a cheap shot when someone is making basketball plays.

Has the NBA ever allowed a face to face fight?

I realize in the NHL fighting in some cases is allowed or it used to be I don't watch that, but I have never seen a fist fight or a potential one not be broken up immediately and both players tossed.

Feels like this year is Curry’s late prime year to miss the playoffs. Happens to all the greats. Even MJ retired for 2 years.

LeBron missed the playoffs in LA, Kobe missed in 05 in his prime. I doubt the warriors make it this year.

The Draymond punch on Poole was the beginning of the end of the Warriors dynasty.

I would have liked to seen a heavy suspension and a requirement to meet certain expectations or the suspension could be extended.

I don’t have faith this is actually going to be a severe punishment but we shall see

It should be suspended for the rest of the year. If not that up to 5-10 games left in the regular season. He needs to learn a big lesson, or he'll end up in jail sooner or later.

End of the day the players union will have a say in this. I think the indefinite designation is so both sides (league and union,) have time to draft proposals and develop a plan. I definitely think there will be some kind of anger management and or therapy component. I also think he needs a real mental health exam to determine if there is some underlying depression or illness causing the mood swings and violence. Either way, I would not expect to see Draymond back this calendar year.

Meet team AND league standards.

The Warriors will have already ticked him as meeting standards given they do nothing about him anyway.

Just need to find out if Silver is as spineless as expected.

This is their way of not making a decision while such a hot topic in the headlines. I’d be shocked if he’s gone for longer than a month which is about 13-14 games. Silver once again proves he’s a cuck to the players union

A more impressive, actual decision would have been:

“Draymond Green has been suspended for 20 games (or 25 or whatever). Whether he returns to play at that time is subject to him meeting certain mandatory league and team conditions.”

Best answer yet! I think that is actually what is going on.
