Meet team AND league standards.

The Warriors will have already ticked him as meeting standards given they do nothing about him anyway.

Just need to find out if Silver is as spineless as expected.

Look this is already more than expected. Like with Ja, when Silver extends rope, a player can either pull himself up or hang himself with it. Silver has shown he can go from extending a good faith olive branch to swinging the scythe real quick. Good for him for this decision. Keeps all parties on their toes. I like that Green doesn't know when he'll come back. He has to SHOW it, not just keep running his mouth. And Silver has to be convinced. Green didn't respond properly coming out of a suspension. Silver lays it down hard.

This suspension should be a minimum of 20 games even if he completes some anger management. The NBA looked bad after the Morant fiasco with his “counseling”.

Lmao I was thinking they are trying to pull this angle as well. Dudes definitely gonna get the league talked about before they drop the actual number.

This is why Rich Paul makes a lot of money. Imagine handling this knucklehead's account and trying to defend him against Adam Silver and Dunleavy. Insane job. But he makes a lot of money and comes home to Adele so..

Imagine if they try and make him do breathing exercises with his mouth closed, he might actually lose consciousness.

But then as soon as anyone actually does anything with their hands it's suspensions immediately.

I mean I don't mind either way, for me basketball always meant some low level violence, nothing serious, maybe a couple of bruises.

So take your pick people, what kind of hoops do you actually want? Squeaky clean or a little bit dirty? The commissar will oblige.

The type of offense is totally different, but the general situation seems similar:

-- He keeps doing bad stuff.
-- Even his team is pissed off.
-- He is now required to prove that he really understands what people are pissed off about.
-- In particular, he has to prove he understands it well enough that he won't be able to claim misunderstanding if he does it again.

The above is a closer description of Kyrie's case than Draymond's, but I think it applies pretty well to Draymond's as well.

Not a cheap shot when someone is making basketball plays.

Has the NBA ever allowed a face to face fight?

I realize in the NHL fighting in some cases is allowed or it used to be I don't watch that, but I have never seen a fist fight or a potential one not be broken up immediately and both players tossed.

You must have been born the year of the Malice Palace

I know about that but they weren't allowing it, the situation got out of hand and many players were heavily punished for it. The notion that the Malice in the Palace happened and the NBA just shrugged and didn't take a stance against it is ridiculous.

It's basically like claiming that public schools allow fighting because two kids could actually get in a very intense fight before it gets broken up or seen by faculty.

This much is clear.

This wasn't a fight, this was a lunatic grabbing the jersey of the defender behind him trying to make it look like he was being pulled and then turning around clubbing an unsuspecting Nurkic in the face.

What are you actually smoking?

And just to add most of the fans who get excited for fights are the ones who defends incidents like this and most of the fans who hate fights attack incidents like these.

Very people adopt the contradictory stance. And even less when it involves a repeat offender.

A more impressive, actual decision would have been:

“Draymond Green has been suspended for 20 games (or 25 or whatever). Whether he returns to play at that time is subject to him meeting certain mandatory league and team conditions.”

Drays likely first call was to his bff, Bron, to talk to silver.

Dray will get 10 games.

Even if what he says is true flailing your arms around is reckless as ****, imagine if you were walking around the store and some jackass was running around flailing his arms everywhere. I'm pretty sure the cops would get called that we have a crazy person in the store.

I think indefinite means the gloves are off. He is going to be required to do a bunch of stuff(same as Ja was) and by the time a punishment is handed down it might be weeks from now on top of the games he's already missed by then. I think he might be done for this season tbh or close to it. More so if Silver has gotten calls from any owners wondering wth is going on with this guy. This is basically his third major incident in only 14 games this season.
