Coach basically views that Fultz is ready to return. Just "kicking the tires" for the Celts games. I would not be surprised if Fultz is back for the home game over Miami game.

Next 5

Heat
@Bucks
@Pacers
@Wizards
76ers

Tough stretch. Probably another 2-3 stretch incoming. If I'm going to guess which two we win I'm thinking Heat and Wizards are wins.

One thing to note is that after Friday's game Jaylen Brown said that this was their biggest game of the year so teams are taking us more seriously which is good thing because they recognize we are good. How long has it been since top teams put that kind of care into playing us? Now is up to the young leaders on this team to make adjustments to change of perception/teams being more prepared for us. Its a step needed for further development.

By SRS using the B-R franchise index this is the 8th best Magic team all-time. 2nd best defense by relative defensive rating (defensive rating - average). We are wedged right between the '94 team and the '99 team, both of which lost in the first round.

Edit: The only two coaches to advance past the first round are Brian Hill and Stan Van Gundy. Mosley is on trajectory to put his name up there on our Mount Rushmore.

Not how I wanted to lose at all.

Young team. Celtics circled that back to back on the calendar and came to play. We totally earned the "L" in those games.

Have nothing good to comment on those games because I haven't watched or studied the game. Both just came at such awkward moments this holiday season that it just is an insult to anyone who watched the game.

The time to recover is hopefully now.

I know they mentioned this on one of the last two brodadcasts, but there are a lot of teams that have been much better at home this year.

Boston 14-0
Bucks 14-2
Philly 10-3
Orlando - 11-2
Minnesota 11-1
Denver 10-2
Clippers 11-3
Lakers 11-2
Houston 11-1

I would add that although the Magic is 11-2 at home, the games played at home have led to a 11-1 record; i.e. second only to the Celts!

And: holy crap at the Rockets on this list.

We're actually 11-1 at the Amway. One game was in Mexico.

It'll be interesting what the injury report says today.

Suggs has broken 30 mins in 5 games. I'd like to see this happen with increased frequency.

Isaac hasn't broken 20 mins yet, and has missed 7 games. Would love to see no more missed games and him break the 20 mins mark.

I think we need both those things to become staples if we're going to have any playoff success this season.

Franz and Paolo are foundational for the starters, Cole for the bench. We need Suggs to join Franz and Paolo and Isaac to join Cole and then we are dangerous.

Throw in Fultz, WCJ, and Ingles and you've got a solid 8 man rotation.

What are your thoughts on Bitadze, Isaac, and M-Wagner in your rotational question.

I mentioned Isaac in the post, I think he sets our ceiling.

Moe and Goga don't match the upside offered by Ingles and Isaac.

Looking at the next 5 in a vacuum.

5-0. Bounce back, figure out how to play on the road. Catch all the other teams Christmas shopping at home. Plot twist, we did our Christmas shopping online in Boston.

The question is, will he be the starter or backup?
