I think Mose wanted to test the theroy that if he lengthened the rotation then we could play harder since we could go balls out since we can sub more.

He's not exactly shooting great in G-League, at best he would be as effective as Gary Harris is when he's struggling because Jett isn't a great defender and a streaky shooter, just younger - we need an actual volume three guy if we want to be playoff threats.

Going to assume the low% in the g league has a lot to do with the small sample size. Because if he’s not a knock-down scorer, the pick was even stupider than I thought it was at the time it was made. Didn’t like the Black pick either because his shooting ability is so sub-par.

What they did in the lottery was confusing at the time, and looks even worse now.

God forbid we put onus on the players.

In fairness to Paolo, he’s getting the ball at the top of the key and then no one moves with purpose. It would also be nice if WCJ actually set a screen for Paolo instead of slipping it every time.

Not blaming Paolo primarily, but I saw nothing "point" from him. He was not running the offense. Just looking to attack and see what opened up. But I didn't see him directing anything.

Well, he was 1-10 in scrub minutes in the NBA as well lol. I think he'll get a lot of minutes next year once Gary's gone, but this year I don't think we want to test those waters in terms of relying on him to pick us up when others are struggling.

But hey, by all means, if posters on this board think by playing Black-Jett we'll get actually great minutes that aren't rookies egtting exploited, I have a MLM scam I can sell y'all

Nah we said what we need to say on that matter. But where’s the line between onus on the players and onus on Mosley managing lineups?

I mean, I can't believe all the different lineup changes were tactical, and if they were it certainly didn't work.

I don't like an 11 man rotation but he's trying to find anything that works - also WCJ is on a minutes restriction so they weren't going to cut out Goga or Moe completely this game.

The bad three point shooting is because we're a bad shooting team though. Nothing to do with lineups. Our defense is not playing up to snuff at all, especially that run at the end.
Just play Black 30+ mins and honestly I'm good

i think whats disturbing is when we were winning games we were still bad at 3 pt shooting, but in the past 4 games or so our shooting has been really really bad

Tonight was always going to be funky - the human element of coaching is not going to allow WCJ on a minutes restriction to completely bench Moe or Goga moving forward, but there will be tough decisions ahead because we obviously can't have that big of a rotation.

I don't have issues with the rest though, especially when people are struggling. When people want the coaches to "find a solution" it involves playing guys who can give you a spark.. but as I've alluded to in the past, sometimes nothing works and it backfires.

At some point our guys need to make shots. We already know they can play defense, so I don't put that on coaches at all. You either put in effort or you don't.

I was worried about that. Our margin for error is small with such terrible 3pt shooting and once they start off bad it snowballs.

the only positive is this puts pressure on the Magic to trade for Tyus Jones/Quickley

we need more shooting so badly
