You don't think our defense is bad enough as is?

Don't get why DDV is even mentioned here.

All of you are posting reasonable arguments about Brook's overall impact ... I just don't want to see Boston or the Heat attack Brook and Khris in turns over and over again... it is so painful to watch us collapse for not adjusting roster or lineups.

Brook and Khris should not play together in almost any lineup... Benching Brook and starting Bobby was the solution Bud refused to apply for the last 2 years.

AJ Green would get absolutely torched in the playoffs by Boston.

Not any worse than Beasley will.

I still say that if Chicago moves on from Patrick Williams the Bucks need to figure a way to get him like the Lakers got Rui.

Yeah, I think he’s a very good change-of-scenery candidate. Him putting it together around more talented teammates could lead to a pretty ideal small ball 4.

My guess is Chicago sits on their hands again, though.

He’s not as much of what we need today as we did in 21, but I’d be interested.

I really want an elite defender who doesn’t absolutely vomit all over themselves on offense, but if the asking price for those dudes is just too high then bogs could be a good value play.

He’s a really good player and an assassin on offense. We could have three of Dame, Bogdan, Khris, and Giannis on the court at all times, particularly in the playoffs. Man would we be desperate for dudes who do the little things on the court, though.

I don’t think Bobby or Pat are good defenders either. Bogdon is a guy who can start or come off the bench and run an offense. Our bench offense is laughable.

Sure, and that’s an indictment on both of them.

I see that you really want to trade Bobby , in your scenario, who the is back up center or pf ? don't care about Pat , he's just a guy . Portis isn't un tradable , I just want a big back!

The owners of the team did not get to where they are by simply ignoring diminishing returns. These are businessmen who have gained incredible wealth by successfully separating business from personal relationships. Also, go tell Dame and Giannis that the team has an opportunity to improve their chances at winning a championship but they won't do it because they do not want to trade Pat. This is all such nonsense. If Pat is what makes a trade work, than Pat will be traded.

I say that without any real desire to trade Pat, I like him and his playoff numbers are incredibly good, I just do not see him having an exemption on this roster.

Its not about the relationship its about more then that

I don’t think it’s that hard to find another stretch big who isn’t a good defender. There’s buyout level guys and free agents in general who could fill that slot.

Do they show up in big games and rev up the crowd? I don’t think many fit both those descriptions. Bobby has in the past.

Is the idea that there are real estate reasons that Milwaukee is invested in Pat?

If a subscriber cares to summarize this March 2023 interview I’d be curious:

If pat still sucks come deadline time, I’ll bet money he’s gone, and I like pat as a player.

Even if that were true, how does that make him immovable?

It makes it uncomfortable, for sure. But it's a business at the end of the day. :dontknow:

I do agree, though, he is less likely to get moved than Bobby.

I guess the history with Thanasis and Robin, it wouldn’t surprise me. But for a Pat level player, making illegal concessions that would cost you multiple firsts as a penalty? I find that hard to believe BUT I don’t doubt his real estate company has some round about funding that originates from our owners. They were big into politics, they know how to discretely scratch someone’s back.

Give me one more versatile wing that can lock down 2-4. Doesn’t need to be fancy. Other than that, I think you leave the roster and we are still arguably the best Bucks roster of all time.

I dont know how dependable bball index is for their defensive Lebron stat, but it paints an interesting picture.

According to them:

Brook elite
Giannis good
Pat and Bobby not a problem on D at all, basically average.

Khris, Beas and Dame really bad, especially Dame.

Crowder was above average before injury.

for reference: Josh Hart very very good. Konchar even better (but terrible offensively).

A lot of that already on the roster atm though. Some young, some old/mediocre/injured or prone to it.
