Bucks RealGM posters who don't like Rolo and are looking for reason's they signed him sources, or like actual sources.

It made absolutely no sense to sign Robin unless it was a condition of Brook coming back. It's really that simple.

:-?
If they brought him in for any other reason besides making Brook happy we have huge problems in the front office. He may be the worst player on an nba roster.

You guys say this about 3-4 different players on the Bucks roster every season and it's literally never true.

You can't even say the Bucks were wrong to accommodate Brook. It's a small price to pay.

We signed a veteran minimum center to a veteran minimum salary to fill a small role. Did the Cavs sign him last season with their eyes on Brook Lopez? I understand we did miss out of the Jay Huff sweepstakes though.

Robin doesn't even have a small role, except making Brook happy.

Which is the same role that Wenyen Gabriel or Harry Giles would have, minus being a known commodity in the locker room.

The Rolo signing is the biggest who gives a **** of this season.

The moment it was clear he wasn't going to play in any capacity I essentially forgot he was on the team.

Are you thinking I'm arguing with you? I'm fine with the Bucks doing Brook a favor.

At first I thought so but now I'm guessing it's your weird gaslighting version of arguing where you turn it into how much you don't care.

My dude I made two posts on the subject and they're just a few above this one. They spell out exactly what I think about Robin on the Bucks.

Have you seen some of the other backup bigs in the league? I'm not saying robin is any good, but they probably said f-it it. Make Brolo happy and have a guy that can absorb 4 fouls against embiid in an emergency. Most likely he is washed and won't make it through the season, but the guy had size and at least some skill that it was worth signing for the vet min to see if he has anything left in the tank in a very reduced role.

Robin isn't a backup big, he's a mascot.

Robin isn't a backup big, he's a bodyguard against any mascot.

Fixed.

MKE: Kris Dunn
NYK: Simone Fontecchio, Robin Lopez
UTA: Chris Livingston, PDX '24 2nd, UTA '24 2nd

Bucks get a good perimeter defender, open up a spot for buyout season.
Knicks add wing spacing and big depth, absorbing both players into TPE.
Jazz take a flier on Livingston, collect a high 2nd, and get their own 2nd returned.

I'd like something like this. He's been fine (good?) for a minimum level guy but I think I'm really souring on Cam Payne.

There is a huge difference between Thanasis and Robin. Brook was obviously happy to get him an extra 2 mil before he retires and probably make something for the money he left on the table from Houston. Giannis actually needs Thanasis to baby sit him as an older brother and protect him like he always did from his childhood.

That said I tottally expect to move/stretch Robin at some point to avoid passing the 2nd tax line. Thanasis on the other hand is untouchable.

Some of you guys think teams are going to give us a 6th man type wing or starting 2 and we're trading them back our 13-15 bench guys?

I get the idea but come on... I get that you believe in Marjon and don't want to trade him but try harder.

Here, use elimination -- this is a puzzle:
1.Thanos, Rolo, Livingston, Portis and Pat C are all locked in as siblings/favors/culture/etc and they are likely not being traded unless we're getting Lebron or something back
2. Giannis sent a cryptic message this summer about frustration of some guys not coming to Milwaukee to work out... did we ever find out who that was?? Anyone who has pissed off Giannis might be on the block quietly -- was Khris there? Crowder? Or.. maybe they made up by now
3. Maybe Griff's slip about showcasing Marjon was Freudian and he's the one that will go
4. Giannis, Dame, Brook, aren't going anywhere and neither is Khris unless there's some behind the scenes discontent (Khris would be the one gone)

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
