Maybe one day you'll figure out why the bench sucks. But probably not.
What are you even talking about?

We spent 2 firsts and got Thad, Koloko, and Jakob.
We could have had our starting backcourt but instead we got half a season of mediocre bench play from Thad and Jakob.

Take a guess.

No, I’d rather you just tell me. Looking forward to seeing how this all connects to Neemias Queta.

That's not entirely true though as Boston spent a lot more than just 2 firsts. Nesmith has been really good for the Pacers (especially this season, averaging 11.5 PPG off the bench on 53% from the field and 46% behind the arc) while Theis and Richardson are/were both rotation players. The equivalent for us would be like giving up GTJ, Boucher and Achiuwa + the picks.

Nesmith was putting up 3.8 ppg and 1.7 rpg while shooting 38% and 27% at age 22. Kudos to the Pacers for turning him into a productive player. Thies was meh. Richardson was the only guy who was solid. It is definitely not equivalent to our 3 you listed.
The point remains. If they truly valued those two, they could of had them. Instead, they valued length and didn't worry about guard skills, age, etc.

Allen? Not good enough. Management would rather let UFAs walk for nothing.

Theis and Boucher are very comparable while GTJ and Richardson put up pretty similar numbers on a per-minute basis (19/3/2 per36 on 55 TS% vs 15/4/3 per36 on 57 TS%) in 21/22. Achiuwa had better numbers than Nesmith, but Nesmith was also playing behind Tatum/Brown and didn't have much opportunity in Boston. It's pretty comparable to what we would have needed to trade (a couple of rotation pieces and a prospect + picks).
You can argue they should have tried to acquire one of White/Brogdon, but it would have cost a heck of a lot more than Dragic + Birch + 2 1sts combo that we sent out for Thad + Poeltl.
