That Derrick White trade still pisses me off. I’m 100% sure we could have had him. We had the better expiring contract and could have thrown both Flynn and a 1st into the mix.
Brad Stevens running master class on GMing. How do you add Holiday and Porzingis to a championship team? Lmao

The Derrick White trade made me furious at the time. I think I even posted on here something along the lines of "WTF???". I valued him as a quality starter back then, or high end sixth man, and couldn't believe the price Boston paid for him. If we were trying to compete, which we were, we should have outbid them and could have easily done so.

No, you didn’t.
Yes I did. Just because you choose to ignore it doesn't make it false. And stop replying
That wasn’t what I was asking for. I’m asking for a legitimate explanation. This is actually a bit frustrating trying to get you to actually explain your takes. You’re great at stating them, just need work on defending them.

Jalen Green is bad like really really bad. He's looking more Ben Mclemore than Zach Lavine these days.

Pistons played pretty hard against the Nets. I think we can conceivably lose to them, at least I'm hoping we do...
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars
Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid
There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Who would have guessed he would make this much of an impact right now as a center that lacks significant strength. Insane.

He never looked like Zach Lavine. He had bust written all over him when he was drafted. Not that Laving is much of an impact player himself.
I do think he's playing in the right era though, where stats are vastly over-inflated, especially if you learn how to shoot the 3 decently. If he can get a bit efficient he can still contribute.

But, will Masai really make a trade and lose 1 of his 3 best players while the team is playing bad? With that guy, you almost wonder if further losing makes him even more complacent lool.

A few years ago all the hype was for Trae, then Ja as the new young guards. Now our Canadian hero has surpassed them both, and is a humble high character guy to boot.
Now we need someone of questionable character getting in his ear to bring him home.
Does he have any uncles we could hire

Masai thinks, if we're going badly it's not the right time to sell, low. And if we start winning, well how can we trade guys.

Hoping for losses to ‘force Masai’s hand’ is crazy wishful thinking. He’s going to do what he believes. There is no pressuring that man. I truly believe the only path to any kind of move, is winning at least a little.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

White could've backed up Fred and reduced his workload, played with Fred, defended the guards Fred couldn't keep in front anymore, started when Fred was hurt. Imagine how different our 2022 playoff with Philly might have gone with white, and how much better we'd have been last season, probably finished above the playin spots. Nurse would still be here.
But hey we got Thad Young that deadline instead, for veteran mentoring.
