Suns gave up a lot for KD.

They wouldn't settle for only Tobias Harris or just Tyler Herro.

If only KD said he wanted to go to Boston.

Who knows what would have happened if that JB for KD trade happened.

But it's more fulfilling if the Cs win a chip with the Jays because we can really say that we won a chip with home grown talent.

That would not have been the case if KD said he wants to go to Boston last year.

Yeah, once JB signed that 300m contract he became a Celtic for life.

But before that, like KG said, anything's possible.

Probably none of these guys is a Celtic for life.

Maybe Walsh.

Too bad Jayson Tatum won’t be a Celtic for life. Rumor in RealGM has it that the Celtics are looking to move JT because he gave Derrick White a turnover last game

There will be disappointed Celtic fans once the Cs start next season and JB is still starting for the Celtics.

I'm not dying to move JB given the progress in his game this year (or this month, really). But we'll see how the season plays out and how the team plays under pressure. Obviously, if we win it all, we bring him back. If not, it gets more dicey with Jrue, DW extensions on the horizon.

They are not going into the Playoffs with Sam Hauser as dependable depth.
Because they are obviously not.
They will acquire a quality upgrade who can bring scoring to both home
and away games during the Playoffs and it will be costly.
1st round costly...
This player will join Horford (who needs some Playoff Offensive help at times) and
Pritchard, who has stepped up into a larger role.

Basically agree. We are firing one more trade bullet before the playoffs. You give a team this good every possible tool to make it happen this year.

Like who? What player can we realistically acquire via trade who would come off the bench for us and would be an upgrade over Hauser (one of the best 3&D bench players in the league right now) who would be such a big upgrade over Hauser that it justifies trading away a 1st round pick?

And who are we giving away in the deal to match salaries?
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Yeah, making a deal is tricky because of the Cs cap situation.

Might be down to who's available in the buyout market.

Because Hauser is not a dependable road scorer, especially in the Playoffs.
They need a scorer/wing type better.

What am I Nostradamus?
There will be someone available.
It will be costly.
Wish it was Olynyk.
Oh well...

just thought of something: Walsh, Hauser, picks and choose from deep bench guys for?
