The 2 top guys in the MVP race going head-to-head. If SGA can beat the Nuggets again, he’s the guy. With Jokic heating up though, he can easily re-take his throne. Exciting!
I'd take SGA over Jokic at this point if we're being honest. He's leading a worse roster to essentially the same record, while having already beat the Nuggets in Denver a few weeks ago. If Jokic and the Nuggets win convincingly tomorrow and Jokic has a massive game, maybe that goes back to even. But Embiid is still #1 right now, unless he keeps missing a lot of games.
You think the Nuggets have a better roster? I strongly disagree. OKC has the deepest roster in the NBA, and I don't think it's that close to be honest. If you would put Jokic instead of SGA on that roster, I truly think they are world beaters. Yes, they are young, but they are so versatile and talented, much more talented than the Nuggets roster.
Scaring thing is that OKC has some of the best assets to get even better. Besides young talents, they have at least 9, or up to 15, first round picks, and 22 second round picks. They are in a strong position to land OG or Laurie to finalize the roster.
