I guess you didn't watch the 3rd quarter.
In fairness I never expect them to have a good 3rd quarter lol.

You know we're tied for the most wins on the road in the entire league, right?

Most consistent role player in the history of the league.
Jaylen is expendable.

Defence was absolutely awful in this one until late. Holiday looked lost on both ends. Tatum on SGA really changed things.
Brown was awful. Tatum got going a bit late but he simply didn’t assert his authority on a game like an MVP level player should. SGA did in the third and it won them the game.
You just have to laugh at some of the shots Giddey was making. Certainly isn’t his thing at all usually.
Good to see Joe actually had the balls to bench a starter late in Holiday. Smart played late far too many times in the last two seasons when Derrick White should have been in.
I’m glad these guys are in the West because I’m seriously convinced they could give any team in the league serious issues in a 7 game series

Porzingis is obviously a huge difference maker, along with white turning super saiyan, and then you have Hauser and PP playing better this season. But I personally don’t think Holiday is bringing a huge impact like the media likes to mention.
KillahGhostface wrote:Jaylen had a rough game, it happens. Not going to read any further into it, he just can’t get tunnel vision like tonight against the best teams.

But truth is I don't trust Joe in a close playoff series deep in the playoffs.
Sorry.. Not sorry.

Shai had 36/6/7 on 22 shots, Tatum had 30/13/8, and shut down SGA in the 4th. That feels like the definition of asserting authority like an MVP should, but what do I know.

I’ve said it 30 times. At any given time, White is our second best player and our first is a three-seat game of musical chairs on any given night. But D White always brings it, no off nights.
Our first is absolutely not a three seat game of musical chairs lol.

More than expendable, they would be a better team if they traded JB for solid role players and picks. JB's low BBIQ has reared its ugly head too many times.
Jammer wrote:What makes this SAD is that the Celtics got their a*sses whooped a year ago in OKC, minus SGA, so today should have been vindication day.
Instead, it's an affirmation that OKC is the better team, since they repeated their beatdown for most of the game, even though the Celtics mounted a furious fourth quarter comeback to narrow the 18 point lead down to 2 before losing by 4.
Even though the refs swallowed their whistles tonight and allowed the Celtics to be abused by OKC's defenders while cutting them very little slack of their own, My biggest problem today is with the coaching philosophy the Celtics employed on offense and defense. Not creative, and not appropriate for this opponent. Of course, Brown had a putrid game, which certainly didn't help any. But the Celtics defensive schemes were consistently foiled not just by great OKC shooting but by poor tactics.
Well, time to see who can bring their A game on demand, and who the fakers are:
An alternative perspective:
Pts. + Rebounds + (0.5 x Assists) + Steals + (0.5 x Blocks) - Missed FGs - (0.5 x Missed Free Throws) - Turnovers - (0.5 x Fouls)
+38.5 Kristaps Porzingis 35 minutes
+30.5 Jayson Tatum 38 minutes
+18.5 Derrick White 28 minutes
+12 Al Horford 20 minutes
+8.5 Payton Pritchard 25 minutes
+6.5 Jrue Holiday 31 minutes
+6 Sam Hauser 10 minutes
+2.5 Jaylen Brown 38 minutes absolute puke
+1.5 Luke Kornet 15 minutes useless tonight
Team Total = 124.5

The hell it isn’t. Rewind through any of our games, you’ll have one of JT, JB or KP having a standout game and one of the others a pumpkin.
I somewhat consider it a luxury but still a double edged sword that we don’t have a #1 go-to night in and out.
D White is our rock

I don't either but like...this is the game you pick? Lmao like come on man common sense here
He doesn't bench Jrue when he did, this team loses by 25 tonight
That was a sign of "Accountability" I have been screaming for. Problem is it's Tatum and Brown who get away with murder..
