happy for him

finished with just 14 points 5-12 FG 3 turnovers and a plus minus of -2. looks like he's the same player while iq is taking the leap.

IQ looked like himself as well. He's done that for the Knicks the last 2-3 years.

Well after a 20 pt triple double followed by a 36 pt game it’s safe to say we have missed out on Clarkson

Happy for Quick. Would have been nice to keep him, but we had to give to get and he deserved a chance to start at PG before his payday. He can play the 2 some but he has more potential and size as a 1.

I hope he doesnt turn out too good now though lol.

Last night there were 10 teams that scored over 130 points last night. A bunch of ppl on the GB got mad at Kerr for saying that nba has basically made defense illegal. Not sure how you can see the scoring output the way it is and disagree with Kerr. Is there even anything the league can even do or are players just too good? You kinda see that in baseball now with pitching.

People think hand checking would solve everything, but it really wouldn't

The reason scoring is up is because basketball is fundamentally unbalanced due to math. Once teams started rolling out 4 or 5 guys who could shoot at once rather than 1 or 2, and players got skilled enough to make 3s off the dribble at a high percentage, that was it

The only way to actually fix it would be to change from 2s and 3s to 3s and 4s, cause that changes the math

A lot of the complaints though are just curmudgeonly "get off my lawn" type of stuff, with guys fantasizing about their nostalgia, when you can go back and watch full games. I have, and I don't think the average defense was that great back in the day, people just remember the best teams and even then, just the big playoff matches where they were locked in.

What kind of defense is illegal in Kerr's mind? Sucker punching an opponent or stomping on them?

OG seems to be able to play defense just fine.

Interesting. So if the inside the arc shot was worth 3, with the much higher percentage most players shoot from there would make it more valuable than an outside the arc shot that’s 4? Has someone done an article about this or did you figure this out on your own? I’d like to read more about it. things would have really have to get out of hand for the nba to change up the scoring like that.
