Lost his starting job, but his minutes have basically stayed the same at around 25 mpg. Still leading the league in 2P%. Cut down on his 3 point attempts a lot this year, like Julius, but hes shooting them at 38%. His rebounding has been picking up lately as well.

Julius has been great so no complaints from me there. Obi was worth more than what we got but happy hes getting more time.

Solid backup PF

Yeah but playing 25 mpg as a backup is different than playing 15 mpg. Carlisle plays a more spread out rotation than Thibs and uses Obi more creatively in different lineups.

Either way, we weren’t crazy for thinking Obi needed to cut down his threes last year and attack the rim more again. Not sure why we used him like Chris Copeland towards the end since hes athletic as hell, long, and got a great touch around the rim. He hasnt broken out like some of us thought he could, but he’s still contributing in a bigger role.

Ill say another thing, but we did trade Obi, IQ, and RJ into perfect situations for them. IQ is the one Im worried could make us look dumb, but not like we lost him for nothing like Brunson.

Obi us being used correctly there and seems to be prioritizing rebounding a lil more lately. He is still limited by his lateral quickness on d and his lack of size to be a positive starting pf. And he is poor at creating offense. He does fit nicely in a limited role on his current team.

As for IQ I'm bummed to see him go because he is talented and grew up here. I would have liked to see him start with Brunson to see how that would have played out. But it didn't. And the role he was in here is much easier to replace than a defensive wing player who hits the 3 at a high clip.

Good riddance to rj and his contract.

   Y'all are mad when JR doesn't hustle. Wait until Kuzma is posing on a routine layup instead of getting back on defense.

You have no idea why I dislike the trade. I could care less about the names. But go ahead. Y’all will be complaining soon unless we follow it up with a few moves and that’s including a new coach.

Just a quick question. Right now based off these couple of games is OG worth north of 30 mil? Also wasn’t his main complaint was offensive limitations being put on him. The same thing not happening now? So you think he’ll be happy here long term?

And let’s be clear, I like OG but I don’t like the trade. Bad asset management just like only getting 2 SRPs for Obi

But go ahead ..

To the bolded part absolutely!!!!!!!!!

Og anunoby is a Game changer for this franchise and tbh he’s worth way more than 30mil per year if we’re being honest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rj Barrett was a toxic assest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I like iQ but I’m sorry he was wayyyyyyy overrated by this fanbase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He’s a 6th man at best on a true contender!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Og would start on every team in the league!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Obi Stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you can't deny how much of a better team we have been by replacing RJ with OG. and theres a lot of raptors fans already starting to get frustrated with him. just glad it isnt our problem anymore. we are going to miss iq though.

agree OG is the way better fit and we just needed a perimeter defender like him. thats why I said win-win.
but lets not act like RJ sucked. he had bad turnovers in both games, but is 16 and 8 with 45.8/42.9/72.7 splits. nothing crazy, just decent, like I said.
Raptors are 2-0 since the trade after losing to the worst team ever, they shouldn't be frustrated with anything right now tbh

he shot 41% from the field yesterday, was a -2 and had 3 turnovers. doesnt seem like its anything to be impressed about. it's just typical rj. he's really the same player over there. anyways, if he's really ignoring his team mates that's trying to help him then that's on him. it's no suprise he got benched to close out the game if he's going to act like that. he should take notes from iq tbh.

There's no way OG is worth north of 30million.
Just like that bum hart is not worth the money we should have given to Quickley.

However, if you told me we could get a shooting/shot blocking defensive center- like say Myles Turner - than get a top tier scorer- like say Booker -- than OG would be a vital piece of a championship contender ---
