That's valid, but he played well last year and for a month this year.. we can't rely on Fultz and Black to give us any offense from the guard position at this current stage. Ideally, we'd have a more traditional backup PG (Black?) and someone like Clarkson or Rozier in terms of bench scoring guard, with a solid lead guard (Tyus?), but Cole has had very lethal games this year.

We can all agree that the Magic fuc*** up not bringing Jett for the west coast road trip

He wouldve gotten more PT than the whole season during the west coast road trip

Cole definitely isn't a lead guard or the future starting PG off the bench but he seems to be enabled with solid players around him more than the opposite.

He'll look better when he can just focus on scoring and nothing else when Ingles returns to the lineup.

That and defense with Isaac coming back (speaking it into existence).

He has. He was playing at a 6 man of the year level. Im a Cole defender but nothing wrong with commenting on his recent play and it has not been good as of late.

Black with another 0 points...

Just sit Banchero in a game like this. Why even risk it. The fo has some major work to do.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

He has, and I've tolerated him when he was hot but apparently he's just one of those streaky guys for now. I wouldn't give him away but I VASTLY prefer a guy like Tyus who is supposedly available. This season should be the last year of true evaluation and I'm just not seeing a guy we want handling playoff pressure moving forward. My main issue with Cole is that he's a SG in a PG's body that doesn't play defense and can't run plays... which means if he's not scoring, he's giving you NOTHING... and actually, if he's not scoring, he's giving you negative minutes.

The injuries this franchise sustains are out of control. I don’t know if it’s a S&C issue, uncommon bad luck with injury-prone players, or both. But they have to make some moves, and quickly.

I used to be loathe to the idea of trading lotto picks, but I don’t have faith in this group to do anything worthwhile with them, so we should use them as assets in a trade.

Package a 1st with some combo of Fultz/Cole/WCJ/Isaac/Jett and get a true asset. A lead guard who can shoot. One who can play more than 2 games in a row without catching leprosy or shattering 25 vertebrae during a routine slam dunk.

What looked like a really exciting season is collapsing with alarming speed and efficiency. The roster they assembled this season never made sense, and they need to move some of these mismatched parts while they still have value.
If you see something suspicious, say something suspicious.

It made some sense when healthy, when injured, like most teams, it looks like a mess. They were always going to have to answer to some log-jam issues when all are healthy, but maybe it looks wonky because they know people are never healthy.

As long as Franz and Paolo are okay and healthy, we'll be fine, (and Suggs) - but the pieces need to be put into place starting this trade deadline/offseason in terms of some serious playoff aspirations.

Maybe the Magic find their stroke from 3 after these last 2 games?

I'm off the bandwagon even though I was never a fan of the pick... but I do find the reworked shot form interesting.
