The Draymonds and them cannot afford on their watch to discover if DeJounte can handle the playoff pressure of big games: That concern would not exist with Pascal. That would be Pascal's key value over anyone they could acquire.
Pascal would give GSW much more versatility on both ends with the ability to go very big at times.
The thing about the contract gets overblown, money will always talk: He has no kids yet nor a Canadian wife in Toronto and his mother is in Houston, TX. Do you think if he gets traded to the Rockets, he would say "Toronto only"?!
He just wants to win like he keeps saying and being a Warrior would almost guarantee a chance to another LOB or two
I think Dejounte Murray is a better fit for the Warriors.
There are not enough power forward minutes for both Draymond and Siakam. How good would Siakam be at small forward and center? How good of a job would Siakam do defending Tatum?
You are thinking the "J-Poole" fit here ?
Pascal is essentially a versatile Small Forward playing power forward: We have known him as an elite defender able to cover prime Westbrook and then his defense dropped off when he became our number 1 option. With less responsibilities offensively, he should be able to raise back that defense of his.
Right now, there is an opportunity to have Draymond come off the bench with a player like Pascal taking his place in the starting lineup: Again the level of respect would be there to accept this kind of change .
Then a new Death lineup to close the game out with Dray and Pascal
If Siakam can defend small forwards as well as Wiggins did in 2022 then maybe I want both Siakam and Murray. Send Canadian Wiggins as the big salary to Toronto and send Chris Paul as the big salary to Atlanta.
Send Kuminga to Toronto and Moody to Atlanta.
Warriors can’t send out more players without destroying their depth.
But I would like the Warriors to be willing to send out 6 1st round draft picks to get both Siakam and Murray.
But both the Hawks and Raptors claim they want players not draft picks. With Steph, Klay and Dray retired I am talking about lottery picks and years of the Warriors being the worst team in the NBA in exchange for 1 or 2 more championships for Curry. Not every Warrior fan agrees with me that the possible championship is worth the price.
Since Hawks and Raptors want players I need to find a couple more teams that want Warriors draft picks and are willing to send players to Raptors and Hawks.
