Not just lost, they got punked by Morgan Grimes.

Here's the problem with the defense.

When your 2 rotation players are out, it forces the coach to use the bench more.

Kornet and the other Celtic players got more minutes than they should have had because they had to fill in for the missing rotation players.

Celtics missing their best player and we still expect them to play the same?

If JT played in this game and this is still what happened then it's a concern.

But this is a Celtics team missing 2 rotation players.

This is part of load management.

The Pacers got an absolute trash shot off of that ATO play and got bailed out by a foul.

Raging still....

Overturned brown foul, then guve the ball to the pacers, then call that ticktak foul on KP which was well pess than the call they overturned on brown.

Refs from indybor something?

Took tatum out
On the road
Indy getting hot
Indy playing for haliburton

AND the refs screwing us to beat us.

I understand Joe letting JB cook in the last few seconds of the game because it was house money.

If JB missed that shot and the refs didn't call a foul or reviewed the foul, the clock would've been still running and we were headed to OT.

House money?
We should be favored to win this game hands down. Actually the pacers are the ones playing with house money. If that went to ot, we would have won.a good coach would have called a time out there. I don’t care if JB went iso after the timeout, but it should have been a last second shot. If a foul wasn’t called, they would have at least 2 secs to get a shot off.

Don’t understand how Holiday was getting burned by McConnell on some of these plays. I don’t know if he was focused on a potential switch so they don’t get a decent look from three or what but that can’t be happening come playoff time.

My point stands.

The Pacers also lost a 5 point lead with 2:23 seconds left. Their end of game execution was trash tonight.

Disagree on Horford. Horford Played VERY Well.

Brown played like an MVP, except for the end when he wasn't an MVP.

Holiday and Porzingis played like an All-Stars.

Pritchard was EXCELLENT, but didn't get enough minutes (should have had some of White's, especially at the finish. Would have given him the shot over Brown if he was open).

This was a winnable game.

It would be less than 2 seconds if the refs didn't call a foul.

Teams would still have to fight for the rebound if the refs didn't call a foul.

Only reason why it didn't become a last second shot was the whistle blew when the ball was shot.

The ball didn't even hit the rim yet and the time was already stopped because the refs called a foul.

That's ultimately what happened and this is the risk teams run into when they put the game in the hands of the Referees.

I'm just saying. Carlisle isn't some genius coach. The dude lost his job to Jason Kidd.

Mazzulla has been absolute garbage in the final seconds of games. How many times does he have to watch this team miss without calling a timeout at the very end. Tatum at least would take the shot with no timeout left, brown isn’t in this position often. You should’ve absolutely called the timeout.

What losses aren’t frustrating?

Losing sucks lol. I want to win every game.

This team has been so consistently good this season that the losses are annoying as because they generally involve the opponent playing completely out of their skin.

Mathurin and Nesmith were absolutely balling.

Their whole team was fired up after seeing their guy go down.

I mean it’s the saying you can’t win em all but goddamn should this Celtics team really should be having 3-4 losses. Pretty much every game besides the Magic one where Porzingis got hurt when the Celtics were up and the Thunder game which was close as well, the Celtics had control of every game majority of the time.

Yeah i get what you’re saying but winning is just damn hard in the NBA. Theres all sorts of factors that lead to random regular season losses.

We’re in front of every team at the moment and on a 60+ win pace.

I’m viewing the fact that all these games were winnable and with a few things happened differently we win as a big positive.

Last season when we didn’t have it we got absolutely smoked a few times and it was the early sign that a team could do it in the playoffs like Miami did.

You're just making my point for me.

Carlisle isn't a genius. But he's better than Joe.

(He's also better than Jason Kidd).

Between Tatum/Brown i've never seen two dudes take as many game winners and always leave time on the clock. This was never even a thought when Pierce had the final shot at the end of games

Return to Boston Celtics
