Prob like his FIBA sprain, a few games. No reason to rush him back, might even help to have him rest until he's 100%. People were saying he had a lot of mileage this offseason.

Last thought, Black is just my favorite. Just comes across as caring and genuine. And the man can hoop.

He does need to rest but it's also allowing other players to step up and shine like Houstan, Okeke and Queen. I hope coach keeps Houstan as the starting Sg for a few more games to see if the hawks game wasn't a fluke.

Are Carter, Fultz, Isaac, Ingles & Harris trying to make themselves untrade-able by sitting out until Feb 9th? :banghead:

I keep forgetting how young he is. Maybe he has a higher ceiling after all ala Klay Thompson....

That is what he reminded me of the other day anyway. Not saying that is his ceiling. I wouldn't start him mover Black + Suggs at the moment while plenty might disagree and that is ok.

I don't know if he has to start, but he absolutely 100% has to play.

I really like looking at 3PT attempts per 100 possessions. Guys who attempt 10+ are your true shot hunters, and most guys who shoot that many also make them at a high level.

This season...

Jett 16.1 per 100 (*extremely small sample*)
Houstan 11.2 per 100
Suggs 9.3 per 100
Harris 8.4 per 100

Last season...

Harris 8.9 per 100
Ross 8.2 per 100
Suggs 7.8 per 100

So despite both guys being good shooters last year (Harris 43% and Ross 38%), neither one of them really provided the kind of volume needed to actually have significant gravity.

Caleb definitely does. Suggs has appropriately increased his volume significantly to coincide with his uptick in accuracy. Jett looks like he probably will be a high volume 3PT gunner as well.

He took the data from the horrible 3pt shooting streak and actually green lit players shooting more.

Ok.. seriously…

Where the **** is Jett Howard and why isn’t he playing?

Okeke, Queen, and broken Fultz are getting playing time over our lottery pick. Why?

The only reasons behind this is that he’s either a terrible basketball player OR someone is an extremely poor judge of talent. There can be no other excuse as to why he’s not seeing any kind of minutes right now.

Yeah...it's concerning. I don't recall anyone in the know actually saying that he was in the G League to "catch up on defense" but many here (me included) have run with that narrative. I hope he's not just a highly skilled bonehead that just doesn't have the BBIQ to play at this level...again, I'm making it up, but given the team circumstances - there must be some reason and we know he can score.

I'm really hoping to make a trade for a significant personnel upgrade...but, even if the FO chooses to sit on their thumbs...maybe they should move guys like Gary and Fultz off the roster for srps, if possible, just to make a spot for Jett to watch the games or get some junk time (at least). If those guys aren't in the future plans, and they're not even contributing today...get them out of the way. Maybe sending Fultz to dominate (?) in the G League wouldn't be the worst idea...blame "working into playing shape", but get him healthy and putting up some inflated numbers that he can't do, given his fit with Paolo & Franz, in the big leagues...and ship him out as soon as he catches someone's eye....too many empty chairs on the roster right now. WCJ is making himself untradeable and reinforcing his CHI narrative about being an injury risk. He's been really great since he got to ORL, but he's starting to look like Isaac with the DNPs.

I'm not kidding myself about Fultz' value to other teams, but he's not doing himself (or ORL) any favors in the current situation...I'd rather have Queen, Kevon, and/or Jett getting his minutes and taking 3's.
