If you want Lauri, and he makes a ton of sense here, that would be a draft night deal.

If we trade for Markkanen, we basically have to cross our fingers and pray that we don't have to go through the Celtics in the conference finals because he's unplayable against their starting lineup.

He can match up with Milwaukee and Cleveland just fine, though.

Miami's another team that would just play him off the court by just running out a 1 big lineup.

Lauri is not gonna happen. I just don't see Ainge and Morey coming together without a player forcing themselves here. I don't think he's such a perfect fit that he's worth waiting for just to give even more assets for him. I think you get just as much 3rd option impact, on a locked up Murray. I dare say you may get just as much third option impact from a locked up Kuzma.

Lauri is much closer to an oversized wing than a stretch 4. I think you're underrating his athleticism.

There's only two things you need to do to defend Boston's wings. Closeout on their threes, prepare to defend their attack of said closeout, which is kinda someone else's job to help with.

I mean that's hyperbolic, but I think the team can manage.

Biyombo waived. I like him as a back-up C on limited minutes.

Reading the names being thrown around the past several pages, it's almost as if you all believe we have a gm NOT named Daryl Morey.

I can't wait to see you guys reaction once he makes his next trade.

The Markkanen thing ain't happening. Reminds me of the years-ago trend of bringing up a potential SGA trade because he didn't fit OKC's timeline.

again the moment young(ish) all stars hit the market everyone else will also be interested and can easily outbid us. We have picks but they are in the far future and our "prospects" aren't good lol. We are still in the area of our trade partners are the teams looking to cut salary and tank...and that comes more likely closer to the deadline.

He would be a significant upgrade at the backup centre position.

“That knee injury is the same one he had during the playoffs last year. And during the playoffs, you know, he had to [play] — this is the kind of knee injury that is normally a four-to-six week injury.”

- Ramona Shelburne on Joel Embiid’s recent knee swelling (via The Woj Pod)

Why overpay for Grant when we can get proven Tatum stopper?!

It would be so fitting if this season collapsed because Embiid was trying to keep the 30/10 streak alive in a blowout.

Lauri is very clearly a league-average athlete at best. There's not a single scoring F in the league he can successfully defend. Not even Tobias Harris. He's quick for his size, but slow for the position. He has no chance against Tatum.

I mean that swelling comes later. It's not because he kept playing on it. He probably has a bone bruise at worst. Ramona had no idea what she was talking about. You should listen to Derek and Kyle on the PHLY podcast, they said she was wrong as well.

Depending on what collapse means, we're already second round fodder with Embiid as our best player, it will be a collapse either way, but of course, we are used to perennial mediocrity so collapse would be a worse thing.
