How about this for a trade:

Hawks receive: Jett Howard, Fultz, 2024 1st Unprotected, 2025 Denver 1st, 2026 Suns 1st pick swap

for

Orlando receives: Dejounte Murray

Hawks probaly want win now player/s in return.
Something of Quickley RJ Barret magnitude not picks .

We cannot continue to sit and wait, they've got to make a move and we don't need a middle-round pick when our 11th pick can't even get minutes.

Tyus
Suggs
Franz
Paolo
WCJ

Bench - Cole, Black, Wagner, FA 3/4 TBD

Deep Bench- Houstan Howard

Go get a good backup 3/4 in FA and let Ingles continue to play spot minutes and a 3rd PF/C and let's move into an actual playoff team

We can’t afford to wait and the answer is Tyus Jones? He’s a good player but he’s just a stopgap kind of guy so we’d still be waiting for someone better than him.

I wouldnt send a top 3 protected 1st of ours, and it seems like other teams have been reluctant to send a 1st for Tyus which the Wizards want. Reports came out today that the 76ers want him but dont want to send a 1st.

I think Fultz & Den 1st makes the most sense in that scenario then.

come on a 1st for a fkn rental?

Lavine s contract expires when our 2 guys will start making big money

Lavine would open the floor for Franz and Paolo

Suggs-cole -ab
Lavine-jett-houstan
Franz-joe -houstan
PB-ji -moe
Wcj-goga -moe

You’re clueless.

No one is giving up draft picks for Lavine. He is a negative asset.

If anything Chicago needs to pony up draft capital for us (or anyone else) to take Lavine and his terrible deal off their hands.

Absolutely NOT. We do not want him.

Murray would be good but I think Simons would more likely.
Would he be able to run point though?

Agreed. Any deal would need to be a 3 team deal.

Something like:
Orl gets: Murray, Hayward
Atl gets: WCJ, Miles Bridges, Cole
Cha gets: AJ Griffen, Bey, Fultz, Harris, 2nd rd pick

Why for Orl: obvious
Why for Atl: Moves poor fitting Murray for 3 quality players (this trade depends on if they want to deal with Miles though)
Why for Cha: This only happens if they're ready to walk away from Miles and his drama. Hayward is likely getting cut. They get AJ as a prospect and 3 expirings and a second rnd pick for 2 guys that won't be on the roster in a few months.

I’m really settling into the idea that we chase Conley in FA in the offseason. He’d be a perfect veteran PG who will age out as our young guys (Black/Suggs) grow into more playmaking responsibilities.

2. He's got to be cheap AF, buy-low candidate
3. Proven winner, Warriors don't win that chip without him

I think things got out of hand for him and now it's the time to begin his rehab.

Stop it. Dude has negative IQ. No thanks.

I wouldn't take him for free...

I went to a Wizard’s home game vs the Magic and the majority of Wizards fans were against Poole.

I don’t think he is the answer for us.

We’d have his bird rights and he’d likely be our starting PG in 24/25 year. Something I think he’d be very very happy doing.

That is right. If the franchise can not improve what we are trying to accomplish and help this team, I do not think they are doing a solid job. Being patient is one thing but taking advantage of opportunities is another bigger one

Yeah, with Trae still on the team they will always think they have a chance even though Trae may actually be the problem. So they will likely want a win now guys rather than rebuild pieces such as picks, young guys, and expiring contracts.

Same. The issue is I am not sure what we have is enough. I am also very unsure the Magic are willing to part ways with WCJ. He was so good last year. Injury has obviously thrown him off. Do they really feel comfortable with Goga/Moe/JI? If JI was reliable I would say go for it. Without WCJ we do not have a trade piece good enough to land either of these guys.

I do not think they trade AB. Good contract for awhile and has shown flashes of greatness on defense. We have expiring contracts and draft capital but the draft capital is what? 15-20th pick from us and 29th from Denver? ehh. Multiple picks from us? Im pretty sure GMs around the league know the Magic are going to be a playoff team for a very long time with the way things are set up.

Nobody wants Kelle. Suggs seems to cemented his place here. Cole on a new deal.

Simons and Murray are going to get a lottery pick and player minimum. Simons I doubt is even dealt.

If anything I see Tyus or Brogdon for a first and Chuma. I think that is why we are playing him tbh. To see what he really is and to let the league see what they may be getting.

Anyone really think that DEN frp is that exciting when the reality of picking comes up. Stop yelling "FRP. FRP. FRP"...most of them are not worth much...Tyus has led the league in assists/turnover ratio for 5 of the last 6 years. He's not leading ORL to the Finals, but he could be kind of an "Invisible Hand" that makes other guys really look good. He's a 40% shooter from 3 on low-ish volume, but maybe he empties the clip with Paolo & Franz drawing so much defensive attention away...I'd prefer a handful of srps, but only because teams losing good players need to proclaim how many frps they got to justify themselves...so the trade value of the frp is artificially high.

Here's another angle on Rozier (I really haven't seen a ton, but on paper he looks a bit like Simons or even Herro). Maybe he's a really good fit in ORL. I wish he were younger, taller, cheaper, great defender...but if he was, we couldn't get him.

ORL sends: Wendell Carter Jr., Jonathan Isaac, Markelle Fultz, Chuma Okeke
CHA sends: Terry Rozier, Nick Richards, Gordon Hayward

Rozier gets the green light and starts next to Suggs. He's basically a souped-up Cole Anthony. His yin-yang pairing with Suggs is supported by a similar combo backing them up in Cole/AB. Hayward is also versatile enough to get minutes at 2. Gary Harris tbd. I'd honestly consider seeing what Cole could return because Queen and Kevon are sufficient for 4th or 5th guards...and I forgot about Jett eventually making his entrance. Hayward is expiring damaged goods, but we're sending out expiring damaged goods to get him and Hayward, when healthy was a star. He could find a home here for a few years on a winding down my career in sunny FL" deal. He's got Ingles BBIQ, good shooter, good size, great passer...he's an aging star that has the skillset and smarts to contribute even as his athleticism declines. Like Ingles, Hayward can make everyone better in spot minutes - I'd say Hayward has much more likelihood of occasional big scoring games as well. Richards is a simple young brute with upside, providing some Goga insurance and maybe more on a cheap deal.

Rozier/Anthony
Suggs/Black/Jett
Franz/Hayward/Ingles (so much versatility among these guys at 2-4, they can all play multiple spots for different looks)
Paolo/M. Wagner/Houstan
Goga/Richards

We retain all of our picks, still have a serious amount of cap space/expirings this summer-if we want (Chuma/Harris not even listed). We could probably grab guy like Kris Dunn for Chuma and srp for more quality PG depth as I would expect playoffs. Lots of veteran leadership, savvy, and depth...we would be much more explosive offensively. We could make a trade now and gel as a team as our schedule lightens up and confidence builds as we climb back up the standings as the playoffs approach.

The Hawks are not trying to blow it up right now as implied by this trade you put forth but even if they were, if you think they would take this crap for Murray why not just go for Trae Young?

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

Im not trading for Murray. Despite our struggles, our vibes are actually good, and the vibes check dont click with me and Murray.
