Probably something to watch.

For us? I feel like that player option would be a turnoff for Morey.

Team option, it’d be a nice chip to have to use in a trade around the draft like they did with Green in getting Melton.

I’m pretty sure we’d need to offer more salary than that to match fwiw.

Furk, Morris, and protected first for Bruce Brown.

Maxey/Bev
Brown/Melton
Tobias/Oubre
Batum/Cov
Embiid/Reed

No real glaring defensive holes here and varying degrees of "good" at offense.

Don't want Bruce Brown. Gimme shooters, scorers and shot creators.

I still don't understand why the Raptors took that package.

If this is the best they could do, the market for Siakam wasn't as great as reported

We have the raptors 2nd this year, which is looking pretty solidly top 40 at this point, wonder if that could be the main piece…

See, I think they made out like bandits.

A guy that can't shoot, has bad defensive numbers this year, is about to turn 30, is expiring contract looking for a max extension.

The fact that they were able to get that draft capital is amazing, to me.

I mean, it looks good because Siakam outright said he wants to go to free agency and a lot of teams are not gonna move 2 or 3 picks for a rental.

But at the end of the day if Masai traded Pascal last season, when he should have traded him, OG and Fred, the return would have been times better.

As it is, he got a decent return for OG, mid picks for Pascal and lost Fred for nothing, not to mention Lowry going to the Heat for Achiuwa. This season is also worthless because he used a first to get Poetl.

Like, that's AWFUL

Starting to think we're just gonna end up with someone like Brogdon and call it a day.

Whatever star Morey is thinking of may not be available. Just think it's a shame if we don't use 2-3 of these expirings for an upgrade.

Looking at the Siakam package, I wonder if we can get draft capital for Tobias? He's not going to get three picks like Siakam, but someone must be offering 1 FRP??

Not really. Plus he doesn't attempt many. Give me either Bogdonovic over him.

Sorta kinda Sixers news... Spike Eskin is back at WIP, but as a host, taking his dad's old slot along with Ike Reese.

Siakam cost three first rounders, one rotation player and two young guys who are role players if they get lucky…plus Indiana is now committed to giving him a huge FA contract this summer. That was always part of the cost, which would have emptied the Sixers of picks and cap space all at once. Siakam on a contract with a couple of years of reasonable team control would have brought a bigger asset haul.

Would be interesting what Sixers plan for the cap space would be. Is it really to go after Paul George?

Likely an unpopular take: Dejounte Murray and Zach LaVine are in the same tier. LaVine just has a worse reputation.

One BIG difference is the contracts! Murray’s contract is reasonable.Lavine’s contract is horrific.

Yeah, it makes no sense to compare players without also factoring in their contracts.

LaVine is a good player but grossly overpaid. Same thing we just dealt with for 5 years with Tobias.

After this year, Murray is owed $115 mil over 4 years. That's pretty bad for the kind of player he is.
