Scottie can make new friends. IQ and RJ seem likable and openly friendly. They can bond over some Osmows Chicken on the Rocks.
Man...next we gonna have the in-house dj play "in the arms of an angel" by Sarah Mclaughlin in hopes it soothes scotty's seperation anxiety before games.

He played with og and Pascal for 2 and a half years lol. 1 playoff series. Nothing notable occured.
Meanwhile...these "i really feel for you scottie" ppl were blood thirsty hound dogs chasing fred's wife around Instagram with death threats. The guy who we signed undrafted who brought home the chip with kawhi et al.
There has never been are toxic player supporter base than scotty Barnes in raptor history.
Not every scotty fan is toxic. But every toxic raptor fan is a scotty fan.
Barnes did nothing to deserve this horrible following.

Re: PG: BBQ era Begins
So Gary has his best game of the season, a statement game post trade, to announce that he is alive. Maybe it was his birthday effect but it was awesome.
Now Bruce Brown comes in who is older and a great defender. Do they bench Gary again?
I do think they should keep going with what worked and then bring the new guys in off the bench. I think Nwora should play over McDaniels. Now sure what they do with Kira Lewis.

I think Darko will continue starting Trent to see if he is worth keeping around/boost his trade value.

Brown is a better player and a championship caliber role player. He is going to be the de facto starter. Trent is a bench player and too one dimensional. I could see him getting subbed in early if we aren't shooting well but he's too streaky there too.
Poeltl - Boucher / J. Porter
Barnes -
Barrett - Nwora
Brown - Trent
Quick - Schroder
The additional shooting is going to be great to see. We need to get more young talent on our bench and additional rim protection.

What a toxic and miserable fan to think of the franchise player this way. Another delusion take to add to the list of
takes. Starting to feel bad for your heart break over Fred.

I am a fred fan. Hells yah.
There isn't a fred fan who be making death threats to scotty's moms on social media.
Unfortunately...the scotty fans DO have such amongst them. You? I can't be certain either way.
But who else publishes 20 hate posts per day for 2 to 3 years targeting an individual they have never met? So yah....you are suspect imo. My hope is that you are just a very sad person who posted 30 times per day, for more than 2 years, about how much you hated an nba player you never met and never will.

Re: PG: BBQ era Begins
So as of now, it’s looking like our core moving forward is quickley, Trent, RJ, Barnes, Porter
I hope we can turn brown into something good. Keep Gtj. Trade Boucher, opj, poeltl

This game was just the prolonged good play this team had since the OG trade. The losses were either unfortunate or hard fought, but we never played bad. (Utah just outrebounded us enourmosly).
But also, maybe Siakam was actually a Problem instead of a Boon for the collective.

I was on the trade Trent train, but when he plays this well I feel like keeping him
If we get him to try harder on defense, hes a lock as a starter
If he played more consistently like that, his shooting would look really nice in those lineups.
But I'm still just not sure that he's a guy that they're want to spend most of their available cap space on this summer in order to re-sign him. He was a great finisher tonight, but overall he's not a great fit in a ball movement-heavy offence, his defensive effort comes and goes, and he doesn't really bring anything else to the court (2 rebounds, 0 assists and 1 steal in 31 minutes tonight).
So if he isn't really in their long term plans, given that he's a UFA this summer, they still might be better off seeing what they can get for him this trade deadline, even if he could be quite useful for the next few months.

Siakam is gone, and the pieces are all coming together.
And it is beautiful.

And it is beautiful.

Re: PG: BBQ era Begins
We really need some frontcourt depth now, but I'm A LOT happier with this team post OG trade. We're playing way more fluid with way more ball movement, handling, drive and kicks, multiple passes to shooters forcing a ton of late closeouts, and a lot more shot making. This is looking way more like a top 10 offense, whereas before the OG trade we easily looked like a bottom 5 offense.
I really like what I'm seeing from Jontay Porter, he looks like our version of Trey Lyles with better defense.

Apparently the Knicks were after Brown this summer and they are going to be looking at him now....apparently.
Brown is going to open things up much more for Scottie because he will be the POA defender. If Brown is traded, the player(s) coming back has to be a POA defender.

Even tho today was a sad day losing Siakam, this win and the lovely Savanna made things better. Great win. Now please trade Brown and Poeltl.

Brown for Grimes would benefit both. Not sure where the extra salary goes.

Fournier, Grimes, Milwaukee 2025 for Brown
McDaniels into Knicks $5.9m TPE

We finally saw the kid we drafted from Kansas. I'm not sure what changed but I hope it only gets better from here on out.
He looked noticeably stronger. And it’s easier to play with confidence when you’re up 20 early. He did well in the first stint. Second stint almost gave the lead away. Showed some great flashes though. He will take some time but once he gets it I think we will be very happy.
The shot looked like it was coming from his legs and not his arms today. He’s developing the strength to shoot from NBA range. Needs more time but it’s coming.
not strong, only aggresive cuz the power ain't directed/ that's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive
