Huuuh?

Embiid not playing didn't have anything to do with the altitude. Sure he might have issues with it, but thats not why. He is clearly belabored by that knee. You know the same knee he missed 4 games for before, and then is now missing 2 games, most likely 3 because of the back to back.

So, you're saying that you made a thread blaming Denver for having a high altitude for reasons that had nothing to do with defending Embiid for missing time at high altitude, because you want to defend Embiid for other reasons? If you're being sincere here, you really need to understand that you hurt your own cause when you do stuff like this.

I probably did. I am being sincere. If altitude was an issue there is no way the Sixers would have had training camp in Denver. There have also been rumors that he has anemia or sickle cell disease, which again wouldn't make sense, as the team would not risk his health.

We need to treat Eyeatomas brain and logic pattern like Donald Trumps

Pro Embiid = good and correct
Anti Embiid = bad and wrong

Even if these things can contradict logically, real world logic doesnt matter. Its either for or against, and thats where the consistency comes from.

When Eyeatoma had a moment of weakness and realized Embiid was fools gold, once the company line came in that he was injured and that it was really Harden and Rivers fault, Eyeatoma fell back in line. Kind of like conservatives being concerned about 1/6 until they were told it was a liberal conspiracy.

That's quite the analogy...

Don Mitch has been pretty spectacular this year. Cleveland's record is unbelievable given their injuries. Tough competition obviously, but the season he's having is not getting enough hype.

Agreed. Hes such a professional. I doubt all NBA-1 is in the cards but should be a rock solid all 2nd team player and finish 5th-8th in MVP

If Luka could somehow get this team to the 5th seed, then he could have a strong argument (assuming Embiid misses 65)

Strong triple double for Jokic tonight vs Giannis as Embiid misses another game.

OKC loses and drops below Denver in the standings.

It's Jokic's award to lose now.

Hoping a 76ers fan can shed light on why they seem so much worse this year w/o Embiid compared to last year?

I havent seen a 76ers game w/o Joel this year, but when I have watched them play when healthy I've been more impressed with them as a team than last year. Obviously Joel is a bit better this year, but their record last season was pretty strong in games he missed and bad this year.

Is it just Maxey is less equipped as a #1 than Harden, but the team is overall more balanced at full strength? Small sample size and bad luck?

I've thought Maxey, Harris, Reed, etc look better this year. I'm kind of surprised they held up so well without him and so poorly this year.

Denver in OKC Wednesday. OKC won't want to drop 3 straight. Wouldn't be surprised if OKc wins their 3rd straight against Denver

Without looking up the numbers, wouldn't the obvious explanation be that Harden would take over the scoring responsibility last year when Embiid was out? You don't win in the NBA without a star #1 option or two.

probably very temporary as they go to OKC next, a loss will put OKC right back above them
if they win in OKC with Jokic doing his regular Jokic things, I think then we could say he's clearly in the lead. let's talk in 48 hours haha.

He has missed 9 games, in which Cavs were 6W-3L, even a higher winning rate than with him in the 34 games (21w-13l). First team SGA/Luka, second team he is not going to beat out Brunson who has played 44 games with better record and comparable stats. The next will be between him and Hali, Book, Fox, and Maxey depending on the second hafl.
