Basically any of the 6 guys we've interviewed seem fine to me. It's always hard to know whether a position coach will be a successful coordinator or not. I like the idea and the backgrounds of a few of them. I can't say I'd be thrilled or upset at any of the 6 so far

Pretty happy with the list MLF came up with for DCs. Dennard Wilson would be interesting. Aside from his Ravens secondary being dominant, he was a big help with the Eagle's defense when they were good. Also has 3 years as a pro scout.

Rapaport this morning said Staley is highly sought after and kind of has his pick of Defensive Coordinator jobs. He didn't say specifically that the Packers(or anyone) had offered him the gig but he also implied each team would love to have him

Would be excited
Dennard Wilson
Christian Parker

Would be cautiously optimistic
Brandon Staley
Zach Orr

Meh
Aden Durde

I'm surprised we haven't heard Chris Hewitt, the Ravens passing game coordinator, linked to the Packers as a candidate. I think he'd be a prime candidate given his qualifications.

Finding a DC just got tougher. Have to think at least a couple candidates just came off the board. One will become the Ravens new DC, another will follow Macdonald.

It seems likely one of them will replace Macdonald in Baltimore but I'd think going to GB where that person will have full control of the defense would be more alluring that following Macdonald to Seattle.

That is out of left field. Apparently, though, he was a really good DC at OSU.

He was previously the DB coach for the 49ers.

Better than a retread. Was hoping for anyone from Baltimore or a young guy. Hope it works. Can't just because I have no idea who the **** he is.

I'm wondering if any potential DC hires off the Ravens staff are following Mike Macdonald to Seattle.

Seems like he has plenty of coaching experience for only being 44 which I like. Don't know anything about him and wonder if he was near the top of their wishlist or other guys passed on the job. Also could be they wanted someone with a little more experience than the 30 somethings like Parker and Orr have.

Just reading up on his profile and it looks like he's bringing a lot of 49er influence to the defense. Hopefully Gute can find some LB's and Safeties.

Worked under Pettine, Jim O'Neil, Saleh, Bill Sheridan, and Phil Bennett.

Well this is a off the wall hire. Can't say I'm excited or disappointed. Doesn't seem to have any direct ties to MLF though so guessing MLF was impressed with him in the interview

No retread, no internal promotion. I'm down.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
