Re: PG Portland: Loss
Our guards/wings are too flawed. Either old and on decline on offense, terrible at defense. Or young and terrible at everything.

If I knew Jrue would have been rerouted to Boston, never would have wanted this trade for Dame. That was worst case scenario in back of my mind, then it happened.

I think it is clear that Dame has been far below expectations. Today his 3 points were not falling, yet he kept on chucking. He was 3 of 13! Try being a pg and make the overall offense better. Those Dame times are few and far between. Khris was better in offense and defense. Beas lost his shooting touch but he is trying so hard to defend.

Re: PG Portland: Loss
Just too many guys with the same issues.
Dame/Beas/Khris are all awful defenders at this point. Dame is small and doesn’t give much effort m. Beas is easily one of the worst defenders in the league, and Khris is cooked physically (shouldn’t be defending guards much anyways).
Bench is full of non-factors. Bobby, Pat, Jae, Payne, whoever they are all mid to terrible.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

It will be interesting to see how the players respond to Doc naming names in press conferences. Basically said Brook should've shot it right away instead of pump faking. Said instead of pump faking he should have passed it.
Kind of reminds me of what happened with Sixers.

Looks like Doc wants to get back to doing TV next year.

Bull ****. He got the Ayton switch and should have attacked. Instead he backed it off. Then put in zero effort on get Brooks rebound. What **** the team chemistry is his lack of effort when the ball isn't in his hands.
He’s just not a winning player. He’s a high volume chucker who brings nothing else to the table if he’s not making shots. His contract is scary and if people get wise to how overrated he is that contract is going to be a disaster. We should be shopping him if we are still trying to win games

Bucks roasted by the opposing PGs in the 1st 2 games of the road trip. Point of attack defender has been awful all year. Fix this Horst.

Re: PG Portland: Loss
I still can’t believe we started the final quarter with six straight turnovers. Five of them were from the two superstars too. Totally inexcusable.

Re: PG Portland: Loss
It is funny how I feel like every former Buck, Marquette or Milwaukee area player comes back and scorches the Bucks. While we add the supposed greatest Portland player (lol) and he completely sucks ass in his homecoming game. Just vintage Bucks trade.

I've been backing Dame all year but it's getting to the point of maybe we should bail on this experiment before it's too late. His shooting is just so bad, maybe he just can't live up to the expectations this team has.

Glad this isn't like 8 years ago when I had no responsibilities because I would have been up raging with you guys. Instead I went to bed, woke up at 2:30, looked at my phone to check the score, laughed and went back to sleep.

If Doc is going to insist on a more Dame-heavy offense, Dame needs to not be outplayed to significantly outplayed by Anfernee Simons and Jamal Murray. He's been the second best guard in both of Doc's games. We need him to be the best guard in every game.

Re: PG Portland: Loss
Did not watch the game (glad about that) so i won't talk about yesterday but what i have seen in general
The team is old and slow.
We had an unfortunate choice of a coach in Griffin. We will see what Rivers will do but to be honest it is not an easy job to change much during the nba schedule.
Dame has not been playing well. Forget about touches, rhythm, role whatever. He has not been shooting well, it could be personal reasons, divorce, does not like the city, just normal variance, I don't know but his best attribute which is shooting is not there. If the shooting is not there he is not an all-star. He is a bad defender with questionable effort, and as a creator for others he is average. I still believe that he will reach his normal shooting standards and then we will be dangerous.
Giannis has been good but he has to build some more synergy with Dame.
We need defenders, fresh legs. The core is Giannis, Dame, Middleton everybody else is tradeable

Re: PG Portland: Loss
Can't believe I stayed up for that train wreck. Doc gets a grace period to right the ship, thats for sure. But I hope I don't have to do this whole "where's AJJ" song-and-dance for another half season like I did when AG was coach. Was happy to let Doc "showcase" some bench vets so they could up their value before the deadline, but if anything, their values are plummeting.
An extremely rough shooting night coupled with old/slow/bad defense makes for scratch-your-eyes-out basketball viewership. And its just weird with eleventy nine coaches on the bench, most of who look like they have no idea what they're supposed to do. This whole thing currently feels all wrong. But Doc gets some time here.

Re: PG Portland: Loss
Was really hoping we would win this one for Dame.
You guys are lucky. You have all given up while I still have Championship hopes. Going to hurt me more if we blow it and you'll enjoy it more if I am right.
