How'd you go from this

Keep on being a quiet assassin karl.. die-hard fans are taking notice, the rest of the nba will soon notice as well.

I watch the games and post game interviews. Karl changed over 2 months. Back to his old self.

I guess we're not seeing things the same brother - In my opinion KAT has matured a lot this season - Sure, he's still young and does young things, but he's head a shoulders above where he was at about 2 season ago.

All star deserving or not. A few of us had said he will come back to all star form this and I happy that we were right. I hope this will stop the Towns for Scoot, Morris or TyTy trade discussions. If we trade Towns, it's better be for another all star player. Also feel sorry for Gobert and Sabonis. They will make it in the Eastern conference. Did Allen got left out behind Banchero and Randle? That is bad.

Do you think the win over OKC that put us in first place secured Towns his All Star nomination, and it would have gone to Chet Holmgren if OKC was in first?

No. I think Sabonis might have got it over Towns before Chet got one. I do think that Chet will either be ROTY or first runner up. Karl earned his AS selection when he dropped 62 on top of all his other achievements/improvements this year.

So the top team in the West only gets one?

If you’re right, that would make Towns getting his more substantial, if it wasn’t affected by MIN’s success.

Btw, I agree Sabonis is next man up, and will likely get in as an injury replacement.

OKC would be the top team less because of individual performances and more because the team plays well within the scheme. Dort, Giddey, Joe, and more are all solid on any given night. If OKC was to get a second all star, JW would need to be under consideration as he is the 2nd best player. Chet is still inconsistent and inconsistent.

I like it. But I would rather he win the dunk contest and complete the trifecta.

KAT has already won it once, and the skills contest too.

I was curious if any player has won three All Star Game awards?

You quoted me so I am a bit confused. I stated in the original that he won the skills and 3 point contest. I said I wanted him to win the dunk to complete the trifecta. Are you saying he already did?

I was wondering if any player has won three combined in all of the competitions.

No. No one has ever won the dunk and 3pt contests.

Only 11 players have competed in both. Ray Allen, Nick Anderson, Brent Barry, Michael Cooper, Clyde Drexler, Paul George, Allan Houston, Michael Jordan, Damian Lillard, Kenny Smith and Bob Sura.

Smith and Lillard are the only two to compete in both at the same ASGs.

15:12 mark. Some truly excellent fun facts and definitely some unreal stats. Karl is killing it this year… ON DEFENSE. Take a listen, courtesy of Flagrant Howls.

For those who don’t click the link “KAT has the 2nd best defensive win share mark in the NBA behind only Rudy Gobert. This year is his best individual defensive net rating in 5 seasons.”

KAT improve a lot this year. Specially on the defensive part and the way he play with Rudy. Hope he can maintain this level all season long.
