Can you expand on this?

Just my personal preference. With the amount of roster and coaching upheaval this season, I'm not comfortable using the very last assets we have on a 30-40 game rental. Needs to be a guy under contract for at least next season, either for continuity/depth purposes, or as a useful $10-18 mil salary for trade flexibility. If things go sideways this postseason, I don't want my only tradeable offseason contracts being Khris and Brook.

I've always felt that even if the Bulls were going to trade Caruso, they wouldn't trade him to the Bucks out of spite. Even if we offered the best deal, they would trade him for the 2nd best deal to be dicks.

Speaking of Thybulle, how was he against the Bucks the other night. I didn't watch close.

surely our goodwill in allowing Parker to sign with them for zero compensation will finally be repaid to us...

he made a couple nice defensive plays that stood out and he, from my memory, was 1 for 2 on wide open 3s (the make was a pump fake and side step)... other than that, he didn't really stand out. but i also didn't watch for him. it could be that he had a decent role in them getting some stops down the stretch, idk.

That Sam Amico who's not the reliable Sam Amick said the Bucks are interested in DeAndre Hunter. :reporter:

He has been hurt a lot of the season but his numbers have not been great but he produced more in his past seasons and is a quality defender who can play off the ball with Dame or on the ball with Beasley and keep them from ever really having to guard the best guard. His bad numbers should work in the Bucks favor.

Serious ball pressure guy. Picks up PGs full court and makes life rough. Prevents DHOs and slithers around ball screens.

Offensively, as a PG he's a ball security guy, not a playmaker, similar to George Hill. Doesn't look to score but can efficiently attack closeouts. 40% from 3 in his playoff career.

I'm guessing the Bucks have a standing offer for Bobby, something like a pick and an expiring. I'm sure Hunter can be had for simply expirings. No picks or young talent necessary. Pat would need to go out too in this scenario. Bucks use the pick acquired for Bobby to get there PoA defender.

Thybulle is a defensive stud. I think one of the top guys defensively in the league. So much of what he does is not in the box scores, but his shot altering, deflecting etc he's amazing, but you won't notice it as much unless you're really looking for it.

He's something like 200th in the league in mpg, but in the top 7 in steals per game.

Baddy Chuck wrote:Think Gafford would be really fun and effective on this team. Doesn't shoot but absolutely creates space or he punishes you with his lob catching ability. 1.44 PPP on pick and rolls, 1.65 PPP in transition. He'd most assuredly find spots to be effective next to Giannis and Dame. Despite blocks not quite the defender you'd love tough.

If this board was to have voted and selected draft picks over the last 10 years, I’m 100% confident we would have done better than our front office.
