Especially to get their own picks back.

We got fined for not reporting Jo’s injury. Guess it was hard for the referees to line up their calls with Vegas without the forewarning.

That’s what most Bulls fans want to do. But White’s also not (IMO) a sufficiently good player to be the main building block of any great team. Good, not dominant, and not super consistent. Still young of course. But White, Caruso, Ayo, Pat Williams… it’s not overwhelmingly exciting. Nonetheless, it would seem much worse to try and win with the Bulls’ current roster plus a few tweaks, cause that won’t work. Fan’s worry that ownership will just try to stay middling cause they sell out their corporate boxes regardless.

Gotta suck for a year or two. Get a first for DeRozan while they still have him under contract. Sell off LaVine for less than expected.

Contenders have to be interested in Vucevic, right?

Fans are definitely down with trading DeRozan, and there's been a long, long Zach trade thread (one already locked at 100+ pages, second one at p.51). I could see DeRozan being traded but there seems to be no market for Zach right now. I think that many fans would be up for trading Vuc but management seems to regard him as one of the "core." His stats look pretty good but they're pretty empty in terms of impact.

The situation with the Bulls is mainly just a bad fit; Vuc could be an asset on a long/lanky team with great defense and offensive rebounding but that's not Chicago. I could see Vuc working alongside, say, Jonathan Isaac. I personally would find it hilarious and also satisfying to see the Bulls trade Vuc back to Orlando for Wendell Carter Jr., who (as I've written here) I've always liked. They won't do that with AKME still the GM, since he made the disastrous Orlando trade (including two 1st rounders!) in the first place. AKME showed additionally poor judgment by defending the trade this past offseason, and he re-signed Vuc for 3 years, so with the GM being dug in I really doubt that any Vuc trade happens.

The Clippers have won me over. I enjoy watching them play & having a team full of LA guys come home to potentially win a title is a pretty great story. I find it hard to root for Harden but I’d like to see Russ get a ring before his career ends.

If Kawhi stays healthy and focused they will be a very tough out.

I believe with the Bucks winning tonight Doc Rivers gets to coach the Eastern All Stars. And of course Maxey will be coming off the bench....just the way Doc likes it and planned it. :D

At one point I had a little bit of negative feelings towards Harden but no more. He was very very good for Maxey's growth and I can't be mad at him for that. But I just feel come playoffs he is going to revert to the same old "can't get it done for the entire playoffs James" that we know and love. Shoot I guess I do still have some unresolved feelings towards him.

Unfortunately, something always comes up with PG or Kawhi.

They are so fun to watch right now though. Those guys are playing the right way offensively though, and that means just letting Harden run the offense which is fine. But, if teams trap him or play gimmicky or switch everything.... George or Kawhi are the answer.

I'm sure it will be the same when Philly gets their 3rd star :D

With rumors having circulated earlier in the day re: a Detroit- Chicago trade involving LaVine, some Bulls fans think that Klutch and LaVine opted for surgery to avoid being traded to an unwelcome destination. Just a conspiracy theory, I think, based in part on how the press release was worded:
After seeking additional medical opinions, in consultation with the Chicago Bulls training and medical staff, guard Zach LaVine and Klutch Sports Group have elected surgery on LaVine’s right foot as the next step in his recovery process. Surgery is anticipated the week of February 5.

Probably the Bulls were on board as well, but it's one of those things that sounds plausible and even attractive as an explanation for fans who want to blame Zach for stuff.

The comical thing is that there was ever anyone who didn't understand this.

I never had a single bad feeling toward Harden. He came in here and gave us an entertaining year and a half and a legit shot to compete (even if it ended badly), helped greatly with Maxey's development, and played a part in getting Glenn the hell out of here. I'd like to see him get a ring and Kawhi get another one.

I should caveat that I disliked Harden before he even came to Philly so it’s not really about his exit here. I found his foul baiting tactics in Houston extremely annoying so I’m a long time hater.
