Not saying you’re wrong but why’s that?
Very few media members are around the team as much as he is.
He has been around for years. I used to read his articles, but except for a few times where he breaks down film, his usual story used to be a rehash of Bud or Griffin post game interviews.
Never have I seen anything close to an insight where he gave info that turned out valuable.
He is a decent writer, but he lacks the key component of journalism, which is to ask tough questions; the questions fans are asking.
How about an obvious question to Griffin like; " you said you are a defensive minded coach but the team is near the bottom of the league. Why is that?"
Nehm is too fearful to ask those questions. Instead game after game it's "Giannis had 40 points and 12 rebounds. What did you see tonight from him?"
Also, he talks to Horst once or twice a year and all the questions are pure puffery, like he's afraid of being cut off. You'd think that in return for abdicating your role as a journalist, you'd get some inside tidbits, but not a one.
