Brogdon & Lowry & Paul being discussed

Not pursuing Murray, Simons, or Trae but still listening

Have called on Kispert, Royce, Merrill, and Doug

Rival teams calling about Suggs & JI availability

Mediocrity at its finest.

We don't need a home run trade though.

Teams aren't willingly going to give us their best players lol.

But if the asking price is relatively cheap for Murray or Brogdon or Simons (like 2 picks + player) then we should def call.

Otherwise, I'd be fine with lower tiered guys.. not so much Lowry.

Nah.

Fan base needs to give up on all these shooters who play bad defense with Simon being chief among them. Magic aren’t trading for them. They have said and showed they want a length and defense versatility is number 1. All the shooters they have gotten have length Jett and Houston. Even Harris was a good defender and a shooter second.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Knightro not totally directed at you it’s more of a twitter pet peeve recently but really despising the trade proposals with “picks” lol. Are we talking two seconds 3 firsts it’s an easy way to hide I want a good player but don’t want to give an accurate trade

When you’re talking about finding a starting PG I think you kinda do need a home run.

No one ever called Cole a shooter. A scorer yes not a shooter.

In this case (Tyus) it would be multiple 2nd rounders.

Then we'd better damn make sure that person is the answer long term. Not sure that trade is out there yet.

and Simons is 6'9+ wingspan, so he has length.

Might just be me but I don see a realistic trade out there, I hope I am wrong though.

Huh? We have cap space, expirings, picks, and areas of needed upgrade with targets that are get-able. That's all you really need for a realistic trade.

For "home run" trades, obviously it would take trading a lot more and people may be more cautious.

I'd rather give Jett a chance first and not give up anything.

Why not have both?

Playing time matters more than competition. We invested a nice pick for Jett. Now is not the time to squeeze him out.

At his best who would you hope to compare him to?

True. And there are lots of minutes to move around tbh.

Gary, Joe, Fultz will eventually be gone or slowly have the roles reduced. Black gets Fultz’, Kispert for Gary’s, and Jett for Joe.

I think Corey and Jett can co-exist. Not to mention, Cole can be moved too.
