Wizards second and Knox plus rights to some guy. Yes we could have beat it, but I don’t think we wanted to.

Currently sits at 32. Can’t wait until Brad trades the first for it and some other 2031 pick Ainge will get later today.

It wasn't just a pick, it was Kevin Knox, 2nd round pick, and someone's draft rights.

Yeah I saw, still think its an easily beatable offer

Walsh and a 1st. Yeah that beats it but I wouldn’t do that. Fontecchio is not that good.

Celtics would have to put their first (likely 30th) on the table to beat that offer. No sense in doing that for a guy who's not clearly going to crack their top 8.

Whatever trade they make will likely involve a few seconds.

Dunn and Fontecchio goes in the TPE.

Queta gets converted.

No need to give up Walsh.

It could end up becoming like what happened to the Celtics trading Joe Johnson.

Yeah, I don't want to lose Walsh. If it takes PP, Svi, Banton, Lamar, Luke and picks to get Olynyk, and it means roster spot open for Simone and Kris with TPE (reducing Jazz roster by two, and making the other trade possible), I'd go for it.

Porzingis, Tatum, Brown, White, Holiday
Horford, Olynyk, Fontecchio, Hauser, Dunn
Queta, (Walsh or Davison?)

Leaves a playoff spot open for a vet buyout later.

I'd miss PP, but he'll do well in Utah. These two trades make the team better without giving up top 7 players.

Updated list of guys in recent trade rumors involving Boston:
Lonnie Walker IV
Otto Porter Jr
Kelly Olynyk
Andre Drummond
Delon Wright
Jae'Sean Tate
Chris Boucher
John Konchar
Isaiah Stewart
Cedi Osman
Naji Marshall

List of guys who people on here have mentioned as possible targets they'd like to see us try and get:
Alex Caruso
Corey Kispert
Saddiq Bey
Torrey Craig
Moses Moody
Jonathan Kuminga
Quentin Grimes
Santi Aldama
Nick Richards
Jevon Carter
Dean Wade
Taurean Prince
Aaron Wiggins
Royce O'Neal
Dario Saric
Kenrich Williams

Still plenty of options, even with Fontecchio off the board..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

And the TPE alive too. Olynyk for players and say, Lonnie Walker for TPE, + a buyout later to fill out the roster is OK. Question is about replacing PP if he goes.

Yeah, that actually works. https://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/8765899

I haven't kept up at all with Dunn. I suppose we get a better defender, worse shooter, more experienced than PP. I'd be fine with this trade, from a 2024 contending perspective.

Maybe with TPE can round out the roster with Walker or Kispert and sign Queta to reg contract

Read on Twitter

The Celtics have three available future first-round picks to deal (2024, 2026, 2031) and up to eight future second-round picks that are movable before Thursday’s trade deadline. The team has been looking for help on the wing and in the frontcourt, per sources.

Still top on my list, but I'm thinking more of the bird in the hand now. Would be CRAZY to find out Brad has an ace up his sleeve and ends up pulling a young upper tier player.

Yes TPE can be split between Dunn and Walker. Make a 3 team trade and send one or two minimum guys to BRK(Svi and Stevens). Utah gets Pritchard , Banton and Kornet and a couple good seconds. BRK gets 2024 1st?

I know some folks on here and also on Twitter are going gaga over Lonnie Walker IV. I just wanted to share both the pros and cons..

Pros
-Dude is a bucket. Averaging 23 points per 36 mins which is *really* good, it would put him tied for 3rd on the Celtics (with KP), only behind Tatum and Brown
-Shooting like 45% from 3 this season. But to be fair, that's a small sample size of games. He is a good shooter, but not *that* good of a shooter
-He's quick, athletic, shows flashes of driving to the basket and playing with some good energy
-Could give us a nice jolt of offense off the bench
-Also some flashes of nice passing..especially when he drives and the defense collapses - he's able to make some slick dishes to the open man

Cons
-Is currently out with a hamstring injury. He suffered the injury 2 games ago..and he sat out their last game with the injury...he was sidelined for 17 games earlier this season with the same injury
-Haven't seen enough film to validate this, but rumor has it he's bad on defense. So that *could* make him unplayable in the playoffs, if he's just gonna get hunted out there..

Also, as I mentioned before..you look at the 8 guys Brad has traded for since becoming POBO..and all 8 were between age 27-35..and none of them were half season rentals. Walker is only 25..and is on an expiring contract..so not sure how realistic it is that we would trade for him.

Some of you guys clearly havent seen Kispert on D.
That guys will get hunted on D all night long.
I know it because i was forced to watch more WSH games then C's games last season simply because of KP

I suppose it depends on what else is in play (Olynyk/Dunn, Drummond) but I'm starting to really warm up to Kispert. Walker is injured. Neither are known for D. Kispert is younger (which defies your "Brad goes for 26-32 yo players" thesis).

But Kispert must be ready to do whatever it takes to move from Washington to Boston, maybe even play defense. He'd be like our more athletic Hauser.

And going for season high against Miami is like catnip for us Celtics fans. Here, at 1:05 in, you can CLEARLY see him mouth the words "**** get me to Boston!"
