Pistons being buyers is kind of funny. Though i saw their next trade they get a 2nd. I haven't heard of half these players so who knows.

Tom Berenger's delivery of this line in that movie provided me one of the great guffaws of my youth.

Jake Taylor : I play for the Indians.
Chaire Holloway : Here in Cleveland? I didn't know they still had a team!
Jake Taylor : Yup, we've got uniforms and everything, it's really great!

Tillman was a good get for the Celtics, he's averaging 2.2 stocks in 20mpg.

I really hate watching Zion play these days. Has to be close to the biggest waste of talent in the NBA ever.

Zion was always overrated because of his athleticism, body shape and unique name. He can't shoot, has very little actual skill and is pretty short. He's just a hyper athletic leaper in a giant bull body. Looks cool when he's healthy. But in the NBA he can be stopped by anyone with a bit of stoutness and height. And he's always hurt and doesn't really like basketball I'd guess.

I just dont think Zion’s body & type of game he plays is conducive to a long career. I’m not sure it was ever an issue of lack of discipline or conditioning, he’s just a smooshed big dude who I wouldn’t be surprised really blows up weight wise after he’s done playing

This is just not true. You guys need to go back and watch the Duke tape in order to see how special of a prospect he was, because I'm seeing stuff like this all over now and it's a shame that people already can't remember. His body control, handle, and touch around the rim were/are Lebron-esque for a guy his size. He isn't widely considered one of the 3 best NBA prospects of the last few decades if he was indeed just a bowling ball shaped human with Gerald Green's hops.

If Zion would've put in the effort and had the motor of a guy like Giannis, he would've been healthier and IMO would've been an insane talent. Yea, injuries were always likely, but toning your body up helps with those.

Yeah that's pretty much my take on Zion. There was always more natural injury risk because of his size and the load that put in his legs but he didn't help matters by not staying in the best shape possible.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Not saying he couldn’t have taken better care of himself but saying that about him having the motor of Giannis is true for pretty much everybody to be fair, Giannis is one of the most driven high motor players of all time. Zion’s body type I feel like was always going to peak athletically as a teen, people were always anticipating injuries and weight problems.

Guy is 23 and barely played but still had 2 earned all-star games.
There must not be a lot of guys with stoutness and height in the NBA, because he put up 27 points on 62% shooting 7 boards and 4 assists in only 33 mpg as a sophomore.

Did he have LBJ potential? Probably not. But if he was healthy and liked basketball, there is no reason he couldn't have been a Barkley level Hall of Famer. I don't think he was injury-prone until he had his shoe explode the second half of the Duke season. Yeah in hindsight he looks lazy and injury prone, but between duke and his 1st 2 years there were reasons to think he was gonna dominate

Agree, but he has the physical tools that very few do. So a high motor + physical tools unlike any other = generational talent. He had a lot of the skills too.
