probably, yes. at least with a tight playoff rotation.

That's when I would want him most :dontknow:

I guess Deuce can take over Grimes role without the ability to defend bigger 3's.

Knicks now have 5 guys shooting 41+% from 3. That is huge.

Burks is going to swing over to the 2 and play the 1 occasionally. It gives the team depth and allows Thibs to spread the minutes around and not burn out certain players. Also, Bojan and Burks are being put in a much better position, and a much better system. They gave up no 1st rounders, and still managed to improve the team once again.

This is a fantastic trade, that actually gives us pieces that other teams might covet once we pull the trade and add another star player.

This is a good point, and one I worried about with Fournier. Teams don't value contracts for their own sake anymore. Not good ones anyway. Detroit can afford to help us cut fat because they have no ambitions of being good for a few years. But for a great player, the returning players have to be decent.

Bojan and Randle could make up the salary backbone of a Giannis trade. We're really gonna try for him this summer and given what we'd have left Giannis might actually want that and demand out.

Also, Pistons likely either play Evan a lot or buy him out so we don't piss off him and his agent any further.

It wouldn't be a Knicks trade unless someone is really pissed one of the kids is gone and will be turning into a superstar somewhere else.lol

Anyways I always liked Grimes, good luck man..

Clearly Bojan is meant to be just a rental

So we accomplished the goal here, we got better this season and got a reasonably good player on a large deal to trade for salary purposes in the offseason for a star.

VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles

Who said he’s being replaced? He’ll still back up Jb.

I doubt it

Deuce is out for sure. That's the one big impact of the deal. Burks replaces Deuce

Kind of shocking because Deuce really was developing -- what's the point of "going for it" with Burks? He's a bum

You're never gonna find out who is good by playing the way the Knicks play ... to replace good young players who are developing with bona fide disasters like Burks

Look at the difficulty of the shots this guy hits. Guys draped all over him, no problem. Professional scorer, as Breen says in the video.

i liked grimes a lot but i see the potential of how this can really make us a much better team once everyone is healthy. getting bojan is big and can prob put us in that same tier as boston.

Incredible. Before Brunson arrived, I believe we had none. We're gonna be a tough out if we play together as a team. Gonna come down to chemistry (and Randle)

I think Deuce's consistent three-point shooting made Grimes expendable, especially with Hart also on the roster. Deuce is a short wing, not a PG.

We can run some Randle, OG, Bojan, DDV, Brunson lineups out there at times... and iHart, OG, Bojan, Hart, Brunson lineups...

gonna be interesting to see the +/- on some of these linups.

We were 105-360 (29%) across 11 playoff games last year which was the 2nd worst performance in NBA history. Fans tend to either re-write their own history or conveniently forget details. In todays NBA this type of shooting is significant.
