I keep having to double check our record and Paolo's all-star status to make sure I'm not imagining things. People really struggle with perspective.
Because things don't all happen in a vacuum when you have contracts and timeframes at stake.
All things can be true simultaneously.
Unless you want to bury your head in the sand and pretend none of it matters until it does?
I've come around to your position that not moving Fultz earlier wasted his trade value. He's worthless to us except as cap space at this point. Same goes for our other expiring contracts. They are worthless as trade assets now.
Whether that is "bad" is up for debate. If you want to have AB and Jett play their way into the rotation, letting Fultz and Harris expire is better than trading for upgrades that could end up as long-term blockers.
I'm kinda ok with it, TBH. I think AB is a smidge behind Suggs in potential and I think they compliment each other nicely and I want to see AB get serious burn. Using Fultz's expiring to free up a starting gig for AB is A-OK by me.
Jett, I'm not sold on but I'm not some gifted talent evaluator and I want to see what the kid can do. Weltman drafts well.
