He played summer league 6 years later though

OKC saw enough to think long and hard for the next 4 years.

Everyone in need of a little boost should watch Pat Bev on his pod reacting to the trade. Dude is a capital D Dawg and a character. Can one 35 year old man right the ship? I'm choosing to believe.

Ouch. I'm liking the Doc & Pat Bev moves. Deadspin said that Doc is working the players into the ground in practices so that they are too tired for games, and that he has already lost the players. I just don't think things are that bad. I'm hopeful that things will come together and we can win another championship if we get healthy.

Fair assessment, not the roster as much now. It's our minds and gelling as a team. We're like a preseason team learning coaches plays and getting blown up by defenses bc we haven't practiced them live speed yet lol. At this point the roster is how it is + 1
more dog hopefully.

More:
- can ga learn to turn to the dribbler and get off that pick faster to get the ball in space?
- can ga officially end the bowling ball era in the playoffs?
- can km stay healthy, stay in front of a man and accept a role with less dribbling?
- can doc make the offense work, build up pat and/or an AJ for a stretch run?
- can we all get and start hot shooting at the right time
- can dame become dame dolla and when he's hot can our other stars be mature and feed him instead of trying to take more shots than him for their PPG average?
- can we become mature finally? Oldest team in the league and we're chasing Mfers to the locker room over a game ball...
- can we finally solve that puzzle i laid out in the doc thread?

Yep it's a mountain and mostly mental

Gallinari made like 6Mil this year so he's eligible too. His TS% is actual Durant-like unlike KM or Bobby. If he can cover 4s and play a little help D I'd be curious. If Bobby sits he does, a ring is a ring and no minutes are promised.

Gives me a little Mirotic PTSD though. I feel like we saw this movie before lol

I have a hard time believing we’re going to win anything giving up 120 a game.

To be fair to Doc.... He's 1-5 but only gave up 120pts twice. End of b2b west coast trip and the trade deadline punt game. Still too small a sample size.

Coach grief lead team gave up 120pts 25 out of 43 games. An amazing 58% of games.

I don't think a doc lead team is going to give up 120pts almost 60% of games. The D appears trending better even though it's bad at times. It's still early.

The defense seems somewhat better but Bobby gives up a lot inside and I don't just mean because of the drop

It’s because Bobby is legitimately awful at defense.

Doc is fixing the D but breaking the O by letting PatC be a PG.

Pat is definitely bringing intensity and confidence. He's also a big upgrade over Cam Payne. But I'm not sure that he's a game changer defensively.

I’ve got no qualms with Doc playing Crowder, Pat etc big minutes. He’s figuring out who he can rely on. Giannis, Khris, Brolo, Dame are going to be playing big mins in games.

It’s spots 5-8 Doc needs to try figure out. I’d imagine he’ll run with Crowder, Beas, Pat Bev, and either AJ or Pat C.

Horst is definitely trying to go back to that PJ Tucker well. A dude that will organize the D, not take any ****, and hold players/coaches accountable. Again, I am choosing to believe, because anything else for this season is too depressing right now.

I really don’t get why we’re only valuing PJ so much now after we had him under contract and decided to let him walk.

I wish we knew what deal Horst turned down for Brook Lopez (Sign & Trade) in summer. It was the
the most logical move. Alot of posters here, including myself, saw Brook's Career Year, as an opportunity to sell high. Any inside talk?

I really don't understand what you mean? We acquired PJ in a similar deal, won a title, and he did a lot of the things mentioned along the way. Deciding to not pay him after is totally irrelevant.

I honestly dislike the Payne Bev swap including a 2nd. I wouldn't even do it straight up, cause Payne is a better playmaker that showed he can feed his teammates even our young dudes... he was really good building team chemistry too. I hate it more that we attached a 2nd. Not sure come playoffs how useful Bev becomes. I think he is too small and can't guard Jrue or Haliburton

Why we worried about guarding Jrue? In the playoffs you leave him open and let him go 4-20 or whatever.

Cause he will  @$$ shove Bev under the basket for an easy layup. For sure we leave him open at the 3 but if he posts up Bev, its another mismatch to worry about. Help defense creates rotates and we are the oldest and slowest team to rotate minus Giannis.

Should’ve just run it back with Bud and Dame.

Not sure how it'll work out, but I'll take Bev over Cam 10 times out of 10. Are you **** me?
