Nah. And that's before considering our apparent disdain for the 2-way contract. I think Hayes is ineligible also. Gotta have 3 or fewer years in the NBA.

Gabriel seems like such an obvious move now with the open roster spot.

If anybody's keeping track, there are 3 open 2-way slots in the league right now, and we have 2 of them.

If Green is for real then I'd rather he start because he can slide his feet and plays with more energy defensively while giving you the same shooting ability.

Beas is a little more creative and that would be better suited in the 2nd unit.

Would Olynyk be of interest if he got bought out? Maybe not the perfect compliment for the roster but depth upgrade for sure.

I would take him, and his contract is 12.1m so he'd be under the 12.4 threshold, right? He can do some solid things on the court on both ends so I think he'd help us immensely.

I feel like a Danuel House Jr signing might be in the Bucks future. Would not be a fan of this move but he can defend on the wing and played well agains the Celtics 2 years ago in the playoffs.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

In order for me it'd probably be:

Gallo
Otto Porter
House
*just sign Wenyen Gabriel*
Thad Young

No interest in draft busts like Bouknight and Hayes. We need a guy who at least has a shot of contributing.

We are going to be getting quite a bit more information now that Bev is here.

Did Horst forget two-ways exist?

The only thing I can think is it's some kind of mandate from above him to cut costs on the margins? There's no other reason to leave multiple vacant two-way spots that makes any sense.

Two-ways don't count towards salary and luxury tax restrictions though, right? No idea what Horst is doing not filling those spots, especially after a game where we only dressed 10-guys.

I have no idea but I'm struggling to come up with any kind of tangible reason to leave those spots unfilled.

Not that these are significantly better options, but Justice Winslow, Darius Bazley I vaguely remember being fairly decent wing defenders and I believe they're out there on the FA market.

Is Winslow even healthy? Not a great sign that Toronto waived him in the preseason in favor of the two other PF/SF's currently on the buyout market that we're talking about (Young, Porter).
