I think the Knicks should appeal the outcome. There’s a semi-decent chance they do it over and play the overtime. It’s happened before. It it doesn’t at least you tried

Then there are infomercials that run a few times a day for various gambling apps etc.
Good luck with that. Nobody is investigating anything.
Here in Texas, a casino empire just bought the Mavs along with land to build a casino on. Next they’ll bribe city leadership to make casinos legal, then they’ll make taxpayers foot the bill for construction. The genie’s out of the bottle
I admire the casino industry. It's like capitalism distilled. Extracts wealth from those with less and concentrates into an organization that is already wealthy. Pretends skill is involved, but it's 99% pure chance, outside of poker and a few scattered outlier games, and the whole thing is rigged in favor of the large business. Finally, it markets the sh*t out of itself as entertainment. As an added bonus, it takes advantage of a segment of the population that has a mental condition, but lets other parts of society deal with the fallout while they collect the profits. And of course, as late stage capitalism morphs into corporate fascism, they "lobby" the government to keep the gravy train going, as you pointed out.
Might as well get in bed with sports, our version of the Roman Coliseums.
Last night was a pivotal moment for me.
I may not be employed as a profiler for the FBI, but I know a liar when I see one. The second Malloy ruled on the play last night I knew it was already a done deal. He spent a way too short time analyzing the replay and then his expression was of a man in a hurry to GTFO out of there.
Then they turn around and say they got it wrong as soon as it is too late to reverse the call?
No, this was pure manipulation. It is rare to see rigged officiating this obvious.
The upside is I will read more, because I don't have time to be jerked around by this BS.
I've spent the best parts of my life being a slave to this thing called the NBA.
Fck the people who run this con game
This is a good opportunity to invest my time in something besides a corrupt spectacle.
I expect I'll watch some games for sure, playoffs in particular, because habits like this die hard, but the days of watching every game are over. Thanks NBA, you suck.
See you guys around

One last thought is I think people are being way too harsh on bojan and burks. I think people got spoiled with how fast OG was able to come in and make an impact. It’s hard to join a team mid/late season and gel with the team immediately. Granted Burks was bad last night, but they will play better with some more reps. We are just going to have to be patient.

I don't have too many concerns about bojan.
Burks on the other other hand is a chuck (terrible low % shots) that doesn't pass or defend. Not sure where that fits in on this team.

My issue with Burks is how selfish he's playing. If he was shooting poorly but within the offense and not forcing his own number, I would be fine, like I am with Bojan, he isn't forcing it, and he did catch fire late so that was nice, but Bojan was struggling but not forcing it, thats the biggest difference for me between the 2 of them.
You don't need time to get acclimated to not playing selfish iso ball. He's playing like he's still in Detroit and the games don't matter, but they do now. Every shot has to matter and at least try to be a smart shot, these leaning mid range jumpers with 18 seconds left on the shot clock is NOT it.

my growing concern is IF we will be ever fully healthy...especially with Thibs running the show.

I agree with you and he had a bad game but it’s fixable, the offense had no cohesion which is expected when you have backups playing and new guys in there and he was forcing stuff but I think with some time it won’t be as bad

pts aside I thought he played pretty poorly his first game too and hit a couple garbage time 3's to make him have a good point statline. But he had some atrocious turnovers and just seems like he has the wrong mindset.
I get it he use to play in DEF where he was needed to do the heavy lifting but he needs to be reigned in. C&S and attacking close outs...off the dribble contested shots need to stop. We have way better offensive options then that level of a shot from this meh of a player.

The whole team has looked out of sync for a minute now. When Randle is back with the ball in his hands he will be kicking it out to him for open 3s which is probably what he should be doing anyway

i def do think legalized gambling is a major factor in a lot of the questionable reffing we see nowadays
I remember very serious and credible allegations of a fix in an old Lakers/Sacramento playoff game in the Kobe era.
