Interesting, I hadn't even heard that he got bought out. I always thought he was underrated.

Phoenix Suns to sign veteran forward Thaddeus Young

Phoenix Suns are expected to sign Thaddeus Young as early as Tuesday as the veteran forward will be with the team for Thursday's game in Dallas against the Mavericks coming out of the NBA All-Star break.

Young, 35, thanked the Toronto Raptors in a tweet this week.

Achiwa is making the trade look like highway robbery.

Lowry was the only positive +/- player on the court for the 76ers tonight. +4 in 25 minutes.

A little payback for the bargnani trade. My butthole still sore from that one.

OG just missed his 10th game for the Knicks last night. They are about to pay him 40M and he has never shown he can stay healthy. I'm pretty sure in a season or two we will be telling Knicks fans "We could have told you this would happen".

Meh. They have to pay Achiuwa fair market value.

You all really going to go with they insisted on Achiuwa? Or lol, some of you saying it's a steal for the Knicks? And your complaints the lastt wo years were what...just really wrong? Given what the Raps had to offer I guess I could see the knicls insisting on Achiuwa, but I personally don't think its a deal breaker either way who they included. I think it was short-sighted to include him, but that's just me.

Why? They have to pay both Precious and OG this offseason. OG is going to make 35-40? Precious is going to make 18-22?

You really want that on your payroll?

Thibs has done a good job isolating Precious' role to being an energy big. But I would trust the greater sample size that we've seen the past few year, rather than a post trade peformance in a contract year.

I’m unconvinced that of Miami, Toronto and New York that New York is the franchise with the superior ability to cultivate talent. Suspect this is nothing more than a temporary pop.

I honestly thought my stance was normal in that I couldn't give a crap about a player once he's off our team (especially if he wanted out) but i am seeing more and more that I am the abnormal one lol.

You can't lose what you never had. He was never going to put it all together here. We even had him under Nick Nurse for a good while and he had plenty of opportunities due to injuries and roster depth being paper thin but outside late stretch in his first season, his low BBIQ would shine through over everything else eventually.

Maybe Thibs is the coach to finally get it out of him but let's see beyond this season once he gets his pay cheque. Either way, not a huge loss for us.

I can now see the damage losing has on the Knicks fan base and team promoters when they actually believe and gloat that they have a gem in Precious.

You know your roster has been absolutely oversold and trash for years when...

The Utah Jazz allowed Otto Porter Jr. to return home and re-evaluate his options for the rest of this season, sources told Tony Jones of The Athletic.

The 30-year-old is fully healthy and ready to play for a team.

Porter could accept a buyout from the Jazz. Porter would then have to sign with another team by March 1 to be eligible for the playoffs.

Achiuwa is playing well. Maybe look inward at why he only showed it infrequently with the Raps.

It looks like a win win to me. OG wanted out and was happy to join the Knicks. Precious adds some depth to their injured front court. IQ, RJ and the Detroit pick allow the Raptors to get younger and attempt to rebuild. It seems to me to be a good ole fashion trade between unlikely partners.
