I'm having a great time with Last Epoch if people are into Diablo style games. Highly recommended, though it is PC only atm.

What build are you playing? I jumped right into Falconer and I’ve mainly messed around with optimizing the birb skills for minimal cooldown so far. But so much has changed since I last played EA that I want to check out.

I’m excited for the cross dressing part and also to see what they did with all the mini games at Gold Saucer, as well as Fort Condor. I’ll be a little disappointed if they don’t have a kickass snowboarding game in there.

I bought it to play with my friends and was having some serious regrets the first few days when I could only get onto the servers once and it crashed the first mission I did and then I was locked out again.

Finally got on yesterday and was dying laughing as I got extracted at the end while one friend got blown to smithereens and the other just forgot to get on the ship lol

Damn the Rebirth demo is good. A little upset the spiral staircase is gone, but I'll survive.

I just looked up what carries over into Rebirth. Not gonna lie, pretty disappointed. I'm coming up on the end of the game and doing all the side quests before heading into Shinra. Feels like it's mostly for nothing.

It does suck, but I honestly don't know how they'd do it. This is one of the areas they shot themselves in the foot by expanding the Midgar section of the game so much - you're not supposed to have maxed-out Materia when you hit the open world. I don't know that I recall even leaving Midgar with level 2 materia.

But yeah, it does suck. Just suspending disbelief myself, cuz video games.

But hey, playing the Remake demo just reminded me of how much I love Anxious Heart. I hadn't listened to the FF7 soundtrack in a while. Got me thinking about favorite VG music.

Cool Boarders 2 is where my mind goes when someone brings up favorite OST.

Playstation music has absolutely no right to rip this hard.

Otherwise it's Double Dragon:

And Castlevania (too many songs to count)

I like side quests. I can do them if I want more obscure lore or I just skip them.

Always FF6

I've been jamming the FFVII and FFVII:Remake soundtracks the last few days. Uematsu is the goat.

Preload starts tomorrow and the game unlocks 11p Wednesday (for those of you in Wisconsin/CT). I plan to play a couple hours/until I pass out on the couch. I have to finish the flashback the demo rudely cut during

Big first world problems energy, but I'm a little bummed this comes out a week before I leave the county for 12 days, lol.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but the in-game gameplay of Madden has grown on me quite a bit. Is it perfect? No. But I enjoy playing the games as I take the Falcons from trash to contender with Drake Maye and Jalen McMillan. Signed Mike Williams too. Team is money.

However, the franchise mode itself is garbage. The UX/UI is horrible, for instance, backing out of one menu that is 3-4 layers deep will return me to the first menu. Load times are slow. Sometimes I can't advance out of a task/segment. Like Weekly Stategies. Some of the buttons to advance change based on what you're doing. Sometimes it's double click right joystick, others its "A". Just mind blowing. Then, the actual Franchise mode itself is just a bit dry. Hopefully adding in recruiting instead of contracts (I hate NFL contract structures) will help. I have some hope for College Football 25.

DB, you may want to check out the Unicorn Overlord demo as a TRPG fan. It seems pretty robust - I've seen some suggest it's 5-6 hours long. I like it so far, but it's further down my list with what's upcoming.

Reminder that Ed dropped in SF6 today alongside a very small balance patch (first one!). Hoping I can get back into that between serving up some Liber-tea to the bugs and robots in Helldivers.
