I was watching Punk play for a bit, and yeah he looks awesome. His CA might be my favorite in the game.

The boss fights at the end of Remake can straight up go to hell.

ETA: Meant the ones in Ch 17 and the car chase BS. The whisper bosses and Sephiroth absolutely rule.

Man they nailed Yuffie's character. Integrade is a 10/10 dlc.

I went back and read about the changes made in Remake vs the original and got the whole plot spoiled because of Zack, a character that means nothing to me. Cool cool cool.

Just enjoy the ride. They are changing the plot pretty significantly if remake is the baseline.

Yeah nothing means anything anymore. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

ETA: I just watched a Zach summary/recap video myself for a refresher, and not only would I not worry too much about it, I think it's probably good you looked this up to get this info. Unless you planned to go back to the original (and Crisis Core) and try to be surprised the whole time, this is all context that is likely to only benefit you when playing Rebirth.

Has anyone here played Tales of Arise? I hopped back onto the Xbox tonight for the first time in a few weeks and I see it's been added to Gamepass. Looked it up and the reviews are steller. I have no idea when I'll ever get to it, but curious if it has any fans around here.

Arise is very good. Like most tales games its pretty formulaic, but I enjoyed the story/characters. 8/10 for me.

Tales of Beseria is my favorite.

I liked but didn't love Arise. It was my first foray into Tales, and I liked the combat but found the world and quest structure a little grating. IIRC I'd just played Ys 8 and greatly preferred it in a similar vein.

I've been rushing through Remake over the last week and staying up way too late in the process. The absolute last thing I need to do is play tonight, but, well

Upside down
Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”

So long as you have a save file with Remake and Intermission you get the two additional summons, right? Between that and watching some tips videos now I wanna hit the ground running.

AFAIK this is correct.

Remake file: Laviathan
Digital pre-order: Moogle

Then you also get some accessories for any pre-order.

Ugh, so I see that you get a Kupo Charm and Survival Set (whatever those are!) if you've played the demo. Can't believe I'm doing this now but I'm gonna download it and try and do a quick save.

Christ I'mma end up taking tomorrow off, aren't I.
