Obviously you don't draft for needs and expecting a rookie to immediately fix these issues is unrealistic but still we have a clear list imo

But if you can grab a 7’1” guy with handles you have to do it. I’d even contemplate trading up or in for him. If other GM’s think this draft is weak we can capitalize, for the blank canvas of a 7 footer with quick feet and handles alone.
At his peak he’s KG, and at his worst he’s a wash out. But I’m willing to do what it takes to see it play out in Toronto.
Becoming clearer that he’s the #1 pick without a doubt

And he’s young.
He’s going to the draft just turning 19.
Barnes, Mobley, Cade were all 20 draft year. He’s a year younger.
You put him on a top US college team and his hype train would be crazy right now.

How are we feeling about Cam Christie? I like him at 31, but I can see him being in play at the Indy pick. He didn’t produce all that well, but he’s a pick based on potential.

Deanondraft got hired by an NBA team so he won't be putting out any content.

Oh is that why he went quiet in January? He's really smart, was one of my favourite follows prior to that.
I remember he had a take that I wanted to post here when the armchair GMs were imploding over "trading Siakam for nothing". Goes to show how wild the online discourse is on forums/social media. He even called the Indy pick possibly being in the teens. Not surprised he was scooped up.
Found it.

In terms of point guards; Carter, Carrington, and Kolek are all on my list
Hopefully we goes those guys in for workouts

I think with the Pacers pick and especially with the Detroit pick, the Raps could target some Burno-type, out of the left field, long term home run or go home type of prospect.

Re: 2024 NBA DRAFT THREAD 3
I guess this is my wishlist, in order from most to least for each pick? Assuming availability at each position of course.
Raptors pick (if 1-4): Sarr (1st or 2nd if still on the board w/2), Castle, Holland, TRADE THE PICK, Risacher, Clingan, Topic
Raptors pick (if 6): Castle, Holland, Williams, TRADE THE PICK, Risacher, Clingan, Topic
Pacers 1st: Missi, Ware, Collier, Da Silva, Murray-Boyles, Salaun
Pistons 2nd: Chomche*, Dunn, Tyler Smith, Kyshawn, Ighodaro
*Chomche may not be available due to him not declaring and if we pick Missi with the Pacers pick then i'd probably go with someone else. I'm probably more open to trading one of our picks with Brown's salary depending on who's available but it ultimately depends on if we have 3 picks or 2 heading in to the draft.
I don't really have any strong feelings about this Top 6 (as is currently projected) aside from Sarr and to a significantly lesser extent Castle and Holland. I have strong feelings about Rob, none of which are positive (Too small, can't defend).

Is CMB returning to school or declaring? Last I heard he was returning to school.

I like his upside, showed scoring potential but was inconsistent in last several games. Not unusual for a freshman. Wasn't active enough defensively.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

He said he was returning a month ago just after the season ended. He would be dumb to at least not go through the process and if he's told he will be a lottery pick he would be crazy not to declare. I got him top 3 right now with the highest potential in the draft by a lot.

That’s why I’m asking. He would be another player who should/would be high on our board.

Re: 2024 NBA DRAFT THREAD 3
The Ringer. Well they played the lotto sim once and Rapz took Sarr at #1. Spurs took Clingan falling to 6th. Gets more interesting at the Pacer pick where Raps took Collier one spot before Edey. So if we kept the 6th then Ringer would still have us in Lotto in play for Donovan Clingan, Reed Shepoard and...Ron Holland.
At Pacers they have us taking Collier.
31 - They have us taking Klintman. Fantasy realm I know.
But, they have it possible we could take all shooters:
1. Reed Sheppard shooting guard. 52 per cent college 3's Freshman #6
2. Devin Carter point guard. 35 per cent college 3's
Junior #18
3. Johnny Furphy wing. 35 per cent college 3's Freshman #31
Anyone hate on a draft like that if we are smoking the same as The Ringer?
Quickley should likely be a scoring combo guard.

1. Sarr
2. Clingan
3. Holland
4. Castle
5. Sheppard
6. Topic
7. Williams
8. Risacher
I have this as my draft board. I would have Topic if his measurements look legit or if Sheppard is smaller than reported. I have Sheppard as the best player out of this draft but the guys above him have a decent amount of potential projections.
