Seems like a VERY likely scenario, knowing Silver. The Celtics getting their revenge on us is too good a narrative to pass up.

How do you rebuild when you don't own all your own picks? Need to move Bam too or the defense will be good enough not to tank near the top of the draft.

They are just flawed in one way or another. There are only so many 2 way stars in this league, and we have 1 of them. Too bad he's injured now and was uninterested in playing regular season basketball. But yeah, the fact that we even call Herro a star, and Bam as our all-star when he struggles to be aggressive on the offensive end says enough about our team.

I guess we were spoiled by all those years of DWade

Edit: and welcome back HFD, seems like a minute since we saw you post on here

How about the front office learns to spend money better and stops overplaying its hand with these limited g league talents.

I just wish the Heat’s owner was Ross ( Dolphins owner) instead of Arison the cheapster

Give him the ball, stop running an offense that has him deferring to far worse players. Hes our best player, it’s time to take the shackles off and pivot

For as bad as Miami played, it took a near out of the league Batum scoring 20 points on 12 shots to beat Miami by 1. The offense isn't good but the defense can help carry you and has.

I don't know, I'm just a fan, not a front office guy. I just know that Jimmy Hollywood and soft Bam can kick rocks.

If you were to jettison them, you no longer need to get lucky and find that just that new #1, you're looking for a new top 3-4 players which is much more difficult to get. The draft isn't a guarantee as Miami passed up Maxey for Precious, since LeBron left only Butler has been the big name that isn't past his prime for Miami to sign in FA. It could be a lot worse, you seem to forget where Miami was 5-6 years ago when the fans were all about point Winslow developing and hoping Richardson would become a scorer while living with a maxed-out Whiteside.

Exactly. People complain that Herro takes too many shots but maybe if Bam and Butler took more shots, then Herro doesn't have to shoot that much. Another thing, Herro can't play point guard. He needs to play off the ball.

Thank you! Someone else that sees what I do. Herro should be playing off the ball.

I’d love for them to leave just to prove a bunch to low Iq fans, we’d be fuxked.

This has been said time after time but the issue is, Herro doesn't want to play that way and he has a 30 million dollar long term contract that gives him some power and for most of his tenure in Miami they expected him to be better then Booker, they've fed into his ego and it's created a low efficiency high volume scorer. If Miami rebuilds and keeps him I could see him making the all-star team with ppg while possibly taking 25+ shots a game but other than being a top scorer, he's not going to lead his team to too much success.

For better or worse, Herro is aggressive on the offensive end. Some guys have all the tools, but they don't have the mental makeup. Other guys don't have the tools, but the have they have a confidence which exceeds their skillset/ability.
The fact is 99 Percent life is like that
we just don't see it
It's All about confidence with no skills To match it

But now and then a jordan kobe or lebron come around

You put Herro's mindset in Jovic's head and you probably have a good to great scorer. Jovic just happens to have the size and enough athletic ability where he could become a good scorer in the NBA but I don't think he has the mindset to do that.

Unless bam wins us the game And scores at least 25 points... I think it's pretty obvious next game will be his last in a heat uniform

Return to Miami Heat
