Yep. They’re going to end up ending his career if they aren’t careful. Imagine if he was on the Knicks, what would we be saying right now?

We'd say Mitch missed 50 games so he could come back healthy and dominate in the playoffs

Embiid's timeline was to come back next season, not these playoffs

It is a moonshot to expect him to play a full series. If he does he's going to do it in a limited capacity and that will not get Philly past us

What I don't get is this team is going to look different next season. I don't get why he's back so early.

Hard to say how much of that is coming from the team, but Embiid wouldn't be back unless he agreed to it so ultimately it feels like he made the choice even if his club pushed him to return prematurely.

I can't disrespect Embiid for wanting to play. But his legacy is going to be limited to MVP trophies. His body will not carry any team to the Finals. It is highly unlikely he'll ever go deep into the playoffs with his injury history.

If we RealGM Knicks fans were Philly fans, we'd be screaming at Nurse for being worse than Thibs for overplaying his star. The Knicks have too many big bodies to play against him, and he's not going to hold up well enough to play like he used to for a whole series. I'm glad he was well enough to return, but he got hurt on a play with no unusual contact. He's just back too soon. And Mitch was stronger than he thought. Way stgronger.

we are the deeper team. we have plenty of adjustments we can make on scheme for both sides of the floor.


they are locked into force feeding maxey and Embiid in order to win. that's their only way. they already played their best defensive game as brunson was 8-26

What a game fellas. If that's not the definition of a team I dont know what is. Im confident that anyone on this team can be a difference maker. We're just built differently.
