Really need to see less of Jagsmith. Yeah if we need a defensive stop here and there, sure. But he's playing too many minutes now. On the other hand Wright needs to be playing more

Well drafting Maxey over Precious would have been a good move. The draft is very unpredictable in acquiring a franchise player.

If it's that easy, why aren't most tanking teams/top of the draft team doing great afterwards? Miami usually does it right although since acquiring Butler they've gotten shy on moving picks for really good players although we've seen Miami try to undercut teams for KD/Lillard.

They are though. Minnesota has their guy in Edwards and is the 3rd seed. OKC drafted many good players and is now the 1st seed with many good years ahead. Dallas got Doncic. The problem is that Micky can’t commit to a real tank and wants to hold onto just enough to put butts in seats

Sure, finally, they moved Love for the #1 pick in Wiggins, they drafted Towns and only after trading for Butler and now finally hitting with a #1 pick are they looking good. It only took Minnesota 15-20 years. Like I said the draft is very unpredictable.

How much better would Miami be with Maxey? They wouldn't have had to trade for Lowry and could have brought in some more talent since Maxey was on a rookie contract.

Lets get everyone we want to trade this offseason out of the game so we don't suffer any unfortunate injuries.

Hero is bad. No way we get to finals last year if hero was healthy.

It's not like Miami can just select a top player in the league and say here's your 50 mil, you play for us now. It doesn't work that way.

Still your chances of getting a franchise player are way better when you have top 3 pick then you are picking in the teens. And Miami has gotten a lot better at drafting. I think we'd do way better than some of these other teams if we were picking at the top. There's no way around that if you want to consistently contend you need that young franchise player. And those players rarely go on the market when they are in their prime.

It’d be unfortunate if any of the Boston starters were injured at this stage of the game

Agreed on Maxey and that was a big miss.

Back to Minnesota though, the Heat franchise is way better. Minnesota finally sticking is a case of a broken clock being right twice a day. Don’t believe Miami would have too bad of a time finding the next guy. But you have to be at the top of the draft to have a chance

Against our team with the "franchise cornerstone" and "world's best/elite" defender on the court?

25 threes is the record. I think we can let them beat that. We need to hold both regular season and playoff records for 3s allowed.

All time playoff 3 point record is 25 (Cavs v Bucks), regular season 29 (Bucks v us)

Cool, maybe Miami can go through the process for a half decade like Philly to end up making the 2nd round once.

Golden State off of championships, had a great trade and a bad year and had multiple top of the draft picks and ended up basically screwing up all those picks.

Hope we move Wright into the starting lineup the next game and bench Martin. All of Herro's ball handling woes would be alleviated, and Wright is one of the few making 3s this game.
