I don't like how so many of those are called in the NBA these days. There used to be a bunch of smaller guards who would use those little leans and bumps on their drives, but it was all in an effort to create space for them to get their shots up in the paint.

Now, so many of those are called defensive fouls, and to me it goes against the spirit (if not the letter) of the foul rule because it's clearly the offensive player who is initiating the contact.

Can he post up? Somewhat. Is he effective? No. His movements are slow so if he posts up, guards can pick him off. Yet he insists on getting more offensive touches. Him signing the next contract is CONTINGENT on him getting more offensive touches than he did this past year or with Raptors. Knicks fans are in for at least a season of groaning next year.
