Dadiet 6'9" wowza. French kids is tall these days.

206 cm is 6’7”

I don't know how you calculated it, but the twitter post and my google metric converter thing showed 6'9". If it is 6'7" that is more inline with what I was thinking, but if he grew two inches this year then his height makes him unique given his guard like skills.

I think this generation of French kids gets drafted in the first. I feel like GMs won't want to miss out.

My fault. You’re correct. My quick maths was brought to you by Kumon.

I will say that Pacome Dadiet and Tidjane Salaun should not have as big a gap as perceived from mock drafts. I do think Salaun is more of a dunker/finisher type, but Dadiet holds up pretty well across a number of categories.

Both 18 YO
Both around 6'9
Salaun 32% from three (68 made)
Dadiet 33% from three (40 made)

Salaun
53 TS%
11 REB%
7 AST%
13 TO%

Dadiet
60 TS%
9 REB%
6 AST%
13 TO%

The draft lottery is going to be so intense man. Don't care what people say about this draft but there are still going to be very good players from it. It'll also get me excited for next year knowing we won't be tanking.

Raps passing on Ron Holland and Stephon Castle for Cody Williams at 6 is a serious (mis)take. I think Cody's stock fell as the season progressed, so a high pick like this feels like it is more about projection and a bit of a swing for the fences over Holland and Castle who were more important to their teams. Cody's quiet sort of personality really bothers me. I think this team needs a "dawg," as Pat Bev said.

Even though I think this draft will really differ from the mocks, there are some really interesting guys available at or near #31 in the Ringer Mock.

I'd be thrilled for a guy like Filipowski, Dunn, George, Chomche, Dadiet, Klintman, Sears with #31.

Risasher at 10 would be a steal
doubt he goes that long
TOR would take him if we stayed at 6

Cody over Holland and Castle is wack, but I like Collier at 19. Flowers is interesting at 31 but the 2nd round is wide open.

Cody @ 6 is a big swing. I'd assume the FO had intel as to how his injury affected his play the latter half of the season if this is the case. The kid has all the potential.

Love Collier @ 19! Homerun pick IMO.

Trentyn Flowers @ 31 is a huge headscratcher, especially if we're taking Cody @ 6. There are so many better options

I totally glossed over that. Zach Risacher falling to ten is a steal for whatever team. I don't know why I keep valuing the Ringer so much. I event listen to their podcasts and I just don't ever see eye-to-eye with their analysis. Love KOC as a NBA commentator but man I am not sure about his evaluations.

Not sure if people are familiar with this tool, but this draft tool compares historical draft prospects with this year's draft (college ref stats only).

https://nbadraftcomp.herokuapp.com/advanced/

I ran the advanced stats one for Oso Igahdaro and he had a 90% similarity score to Xavier Tillman. Those two are the same guy, I swear!

Stephon Castle has a 91% similarity score to Keldon Johnson which I think makes a ton of sense.

Dalton Knecht with the 85% similarity score to Doug McDermott is another one I favor for his realistic archetype.

After the Combine measurements, it is cool to run the physical comp tool.

That's really cool. Reed Sheppard's closest comp is Lonzo Ball. It does seem like a lot of similar guys get grouped together (Clingan and Edey both get John Collins, Ayton, Wiseman). A lot of guards are compared closely to Payton Pritchard.

Salaun in the lottery sounds right, I don't think he makes it to 19. He could be a riser as teams get his measurements and get him in for workouts. He looks huge.

The more I think about it, its Top 4 or just give it to the Spurs. I really don't care for the Cody Williams and Dillinghams of this draft.
