Jrue playing his best ball of the season for VC. JT for CP.

It's a good point, at the very least it's good to get some reps at closing out a close one.

It was a painful watch otherwise.

These games are not going to be rewatchable in the future. Not sure I'll even buy the 2024 championship DVD set.

Because Coach Bubbles is a **** moron.

Obviously we needed to win, & I will take it.

Cigar to the Cavs for trying hard!

Simply cannot close games out.

JT + JB had 9 TOVs combined.

VS a garbage team without Donovan & Allen, & they had to struggle for the W. .

JT finished w 33 & a nice line, #7 w 28, but our best players were JRUE ESPECIALLY & Pritch.

Shoutout to Joe's timely timeouts. Would've voted for them if that's an option.

Jrue with two killer games in Cleveland. He and Tatum balled out.

Bill Simmons couldn't recognize a play if it hit him on the face.

Play Al and win the series in 5. Rest him in between series.

We're too thin up front to sit one of our centers even if he's not hitting his 3's.

Can we be adults here and finally discuss how Joe is actively **** us?

That second half offense, fourth quarter especially is disgusting.

There's no way the players are playing that way if they have a disciplined scheme they spent all season implementing.

Joe will **** us more than anyone.

Do they track potential turnovers too?

We could compare that to the potential assists.

I don't want to think about that :D This team has one of the most potent offenses in history when they move the ball, so to spice things up they decided to not move the ball. Mind-boggling.

Bill Simmons said last week that Minnesota would sweep Denver.

He is great at identifying individual talent and players, but recognising coaching and game plans not so much (he still think Doc Rivers is a great coach)

We are in good/healthy shape going into the next round. No need to worry or fret at all folks.

This one was still up in the air well into Q3 despite the Cavs missing Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen. Great games from Tatum and Holiday. Brown, too, despite 5 Turnovers and 4 Fouls.

An Alternative View:

Pts. + Rebounds + (0.5 x Assists) + (0.5 x Blocks) + Steals - Missed Field Goals - (0.5 x Missed Free Throws) - Turnovers - (0.5 x Fouls)

+30 Jayson Tatum 33 minutes
+22 Jrue Holiday 43 minutes
+21.5 Jaylen Brown 34 minutes

+10.5 Luke Kornet 19 minutes
+9 Payton Pritchard 26 minutes
+8.5 Derrick White 30 minutes
+6.5 Al Horford 28 Minutes

+3 Sam Hauser 15 minutes

Team Total = 111

Celtics executed when it mattered
Team won.

What more could you want?

They scored more than 40 and we didn’t win by 30+.

Unacceptable.

I do agree with your sentiment but I also think a lot of their runs came from the same mental lapses we’ve all come to hate, the ones where they relax and don’t learn from the previous time they did that. It’s pretty hard not to have PTSD from that so I get the frustration (and feel it myself).

How many times they going to run Jaylen or Tatum 5 feet behind the 3 point line dribbling the air out of the ball for a low percentage shot with no time on clock for half of a 4th quarter?
